The voting period is over! Nearly 20 pages of votes, and the competition wasn't a competition so much as it was a massacre. The Top Five was heavily slanted in the favor of two console makers above all, and one system in particular butchered everything and everyone that came in its way: Sony's Playstation 2.

THE GREATEST HOME CONSOLE OF ALL TIME

Yes, time to address one of the perennial questions that plagues System Wars once and for all. What do you all really think is the greatest home console of all time? In this thread, you decide!

And just how do we go about this?

By a simple, community oriented voting procedure. In this thread, you name your three favorite home consoles of all time. Make sure to name them in order. The first console will get 50 points, the second console will get 25 points, the third console will get 15 points. The order you list your choices in is very important, as it will affect the final tallies.

Anything and everything is eligible for this list, but there are the following stipulations:

• First, and most obviously, only home consoles qualify for this list. You cannot name handhelds or the PC for the purposes of this thread, which is only to discuss home consoles.
• You must list only three home consoles. If you list less than three, your post will be disqualified. if you list more than three, only the first three consoles you listed will be considered, in order.
• All home consoles, major or minor, are eligible for this competition, with one stipulation: any console listed here must have been released in at least two major markets. Any console that released in only one major market will not be considered eligible.
• Console revisions and redesigns are not eligible.
• If you edit your post for any reason, make sure to make a list of all the edits you made. Any edited post without an accompanying list of edits will be disqualified.
• You must either be Level 5 or have a post count of 200 to be eligible to vote.
• Voting closes Midnight, April 7 2013 Central Time. Please make sure to get your votes in before then.
• The top five winners of this round at the end of the voting period will go on into a no holds barred simple old school style System Wars poll to determine one true winner.
