Dark Souls.

Never played that. But I LOVED Lost Odyssey. Most underated game of this gen imo. That there's never going to be a sequel is criminal.

Cant believe i haven't played that game, and the reason why it never got a sequel, was due to it's horrible sales, jrpg's never sold well on the xbox

They weren't good but I wouldn't call the sales horrible. Think it got fairly close to a million. But MS is kinda funny in that if you don't do blockbuster sales then you're out the door. I put 150 hours into that game. Was utterly addicted to it. As soon as I'd get home from work I'd put it on and wouldn't stop until I had to get to bed. That is highly unusual for me nowadays cuz I'm older now and don't play video games anywhere near to the extent that I did a long time ago. In fact, there's only been about 5-10 games this gen that had that kind of effect on me.

Dark Souls already has unlimited respawns. Death means nothing in that game.

Also suck less, it's not that difficult. An easy mode would destroy the balance and enemy placement the game does so well

I only got it yesterday, but i have a feeling that the answer is a fat "No!" I'mma start it today.

I haven't cracked mine open yet, but I read somewhere that Tales of Xillia 2 is better, and that game is technically this gen. Besides as great as Tales games are they were never the greatest JRPG of their respective gens IMO.

Want to buy it. But my PS3 is dead. *sniff sniff*

So..  I found Graces F to be kind of boring, gave up on it pretty quick.  What are the chances of me liking Xillia?  Then again I'm playing FFXIII-2 and that game feels **** terrible also and a chore to get through.  JRPGs very rarely excite me these days, they all just feel like generic cutesy anime drivel that I've come to hate.

Nah, what all the kids are thinking.

Im old enough to have seen enough boobs, touched enough boobs in my life that video game boobs dont interest me.

I am sure the 5 or 6 people that still plays JRPG's would agree. But it does not have a lot of good competition.

It's sooo slow, which is horrible for a turn bassed jrpg.. well half turn based that is :P

I need to play to see if I enjoy it more then grace. Grace has become my favorite jrpg this gen and one of my favorite games this gen in geniral. Yes iv played xenoblade yea the game is great but I found the cast boring excluding ryan and sharla. So It was hard for me to give a dam about them.

Vesperia was average, it doesn't even match graces f, let alone xillia

LO gets my vote by a long shot. One of the best RPGs this gen period.

Vesperia is down there with Eternal Sonata.  Might be better than Xillia but that speaks more to how bad Xillia is than Vesperia being good.
