Im far from a "todays gamer" I'll be 39 soon and have been a hardcore gamer since 1980 and have nearly 20 consoles and over 1000 games. ICO and SOTC are "ok" games. BUT just not my cup of tea. I have tried playing FF since it came out back in the 80s and have never been able to get into it for longer than 3minutes..BUT millions of people swear by them. Everyone likes different things...thats all..

oh god! yes!!! a new ICO is sooooo expensive these days. i dont even wanna buy the cheap used ones simply because they're DVDs (hint: DVDs are notscratch resistant). and the fact that SoTC has framerate problems, just like GoW1+2.

and, just like GoW Collection, i hope this'll be a 60-fps HD Collection as well! yay!

I haven't played ICO or SOTC, but it'll be great to play them in HD with smooth framerate. Oh god, SOTC, in HD, with 60 fps.

So, God of War, Sly Cooper, and now the Ico games. I'm casting my vote in for Jak to get the next "PS3" treatment.

Great deal, good price...I'm there. Walmart accidently listed it a few days ago too. The upcoming ICO/SOTC also was also kind of revealed at Gamescon conference when people compared new Widescreen HD ICO to old PS2 ICO...neat.

Maybe a Last Guardian Demo included too? That would be sweet!

Played them already..why buy again? AND I wasnt impressed with them that much. As far as ICO went...I could never get away from the "smoke" monster things to do anything at all hardly. SOTC was ok except it was...ride a mile on horse, find monster, climb on,stab repeat 10x then do all over again. I know I will get beat down for my views cause these 2 games are looked at with such "artistic eyes" but its how I feel.

I don't see why, that's pretty much what SotC is, though your description of the whole experience in both games is a bit(and that's an understatement) superficial. I know lots of people who didn't find the games to be anything special, exactly because of some of those reasons.

Not everyone will like them, or feel that the hype sorrounding them is justified, but do I still feel that people who like gaming should at least try them? Hell yes. It's a gaming experience that doesn't have much similarity out there. Coming from a guy who greatly enjoyed them, I too agree with what you're talking about regarding the whole *artistic eyes* phenomenon sorrounding both games... sometimes I kind of find that it reaches the level of ridiculous.
