The only Japanese games I'd actually spend money on anymore are all on handheld systems... Japanese console developing on the other hand is worthless now IMO.Messiahbolical-
Man.. Why did you give the mediocrity (with a ridiculous story filled with plot holes and horrible voice acting as a big bonus) of a game that is Final Fantasy X a solid 10 if you're so against bad japanese games. This, right here, defies logic.
Lets see, FFXIII-2, Type 0, FFX HD, Kingdom Hearts 3ds, Dead or Alive 5, Ninja Gaiden 3, Suidiken, Ni No Kuni, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MvC3U, Zelda SS, Mario and so many more. So yeah the Japanese gaming industry is dead and those were only a small portion of the games (Mainly all the ones that I for sure want).
Now lets compare that to the American Studio games i'm excited for
Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Gears 3, Forza 4, Uncharted 3..... 5 vs. 12+ games.

I gave it a 10 because the game was very nostalgic for me. FF6 was the first RPG I ever played when I was really little and was always my favorite RPG of all time, so when I played FFX it really brought me back since I had never played FF7, FF8, or FF9 at the time. I just love that classic turn based gameplay with the variation of different weapons and attacks, it never gets old to me. I never get tired of hearing that classic Final Fantasy victory music that plays after you win a big battle. Also, I loved the beautiful environments in FFX, and the music was amazing. I didn't mind the crappy voice acting or plot holes that much. I actually enjoyed and got sucked into the story a lot(ignoring the plot holes), aside from the lame ending. I liked the apocalyptic feel of the story. I spent hours upon hours on that game, doing all of the side quests and cool stuff like collecting all of the secret weapons and defeating the secret bosses far after the game's story was over. I don't know what it was, but I loved the hell out of that game. I couldn't get into FFXII at all though. I missed the classic FF style gameplay too much. And I never said I hated Japanese games, I just haven't cared for them much at all this gen. Please Log In to post.
