The line-ups for the consoles this year truly are poor.
PS3: The only worthwhile games this year for the system are going to be MGS4, along with possibly Little Big Planet. Everything else is generic FPS filler and other no-name rubbish like Hot Shots Golf. 95% of PS3's good games are releasing in 2009 (FFXIII, GOW3, ICO Project) and that leaves little for 2008. What an abysmal year.
Xbox 360: An even bigger joke than the PS3, with only a sequel to the most overrated game of 2006 (it was too repetitious, short and low on multi modes) and Ninja Gaiden 2 even worth caring about, along with some watered down and gimped ports of PC games from last year.
Wii: Don't even get me started on Wii. Its two biggest games this year could have been done on Gamecube. These games don't even use the "revolutionary controller" in meaningful ways that improve gameplay. So what was the point of Nintendo holding back hardware specs? I mean what is even the point of this system? Wii's library is terrible right now and its future looks even worse.
Sorry console sheep, but PC wins this year with ease, just like every other year. Starcraft 2, Spore, Far Cry 2 (THE REAL VERSION) and Age of Conan are only a few of the amazing titles coming to PC this year. Lets not forget hermits already had Sins of a Solar Empire which is easily the best game so far this year. Furthermore, Mass Effect is now coming to PC after it was revealed the 360 version was simply the BETA version, so as mentioned prior, PC gets the best versions of multiplats as always.
I honestly don't understand why more people don't game on PC, the consoles are completely incompetent for a real gamer's needs.
