The 360 controller is so much better than the PS3's, it's not even funny.

i have to agree because ive been through 6 ps3 controllers one died just today , it was new to it was like 1 yr old, hardly used --as i dont play my ps3 slim often ,

and it started acting wierd , , all day until it finally just shut off , and never turned back on since even when pluging it to usb it dont turn on ,

i unscrewed and found out the ribben some how melted off the thing or somthing ,

and it is made cheaper then the originals obviously the tab where the ribbon should have gone was not even there as if they didnt put one there they glued the ribbon to the metal piece eh , so cheaply made it is not funny

The PS3 controller seems to have longer battery life.

It's hard to beat a new perfect controller. The Xbox 360 controller is just top notch; hell, one of the reasons I prefer to play multiplatform games on my 360 than my PS3 is because of the controller.

I prefer the 360's pad in shape, quality and durability, but there's one advantage the PS3 has (and it isn't a small one): the Logitech third-party controllers. I haven't laid my hands on a Razer Onza yet, so I don't know how it fares compared to Logitech's DualShock.

Overall, I have to say the 360's pad is better: it's more comfortable and overall better.

the 360 is just better for anything that involves shooting, driving, aiming, and moving. the only bonus i can think of for the PS3 is the d-pad (360 d-pad is terrible). i'd honestly play my PS3 games with my 360 controller if i could. the wired 360 controller is also plug-and-play for PCs, while you have to download all these extra drivers for the PS3 controller.

Seems the voting public say it doesn't. I like the PS3 one. It is lighter and fits into your hand better. Not to mention it hasn't changed its form factor since the Playstation and it felt good then and still does.

Here's a thought. Get a longer recharge cable for your PS3 controller. Wow, that was easy, wasn't it?

Unfortunately, both of the controllers are horrid for shooting, aiming and moving compared to a mouse/keyboard combo. So all this arguing is almost pointless

Ive read nothing in this thread and quite frankly i dont need to... i purchased a ps3 the other day and have played it non stop since then... both controllers are obviously ok, but the 360s is much better, ergonomics being the best case for that argument.

I'll admit it: the DS3 and the SIXAXIS pale in comparison to... the Dualshock 2. The Dualshock 2 was so much better. Heavier, better rumble, better analog sticks. As for the 360 controller, it's pretty nice too. Prefer the sticks on the same level like the PS3 though, but it fits nicely into my hand Tbh, I really dont care or notice

I actually find the 360 controller less comfortable than the Dual Shock 3 for whatever reason. The PS2 I feel was better than both though. The PS3's R2 and L2 feel weird the way they're designed.

am i the only person with weird thumbs that collide whenever i strafe right and turn left on the dualshock 3 (move left analog right, right analog left)? because of that i have to use the tips of my thumbs rather than the center. with the 360 controller they have those nice little indents on the nubs, and they're positioned diagonally from each other. and dem trigger buttons...

This thread is almost as a year old. The argument itself of course, way older
