I play my 360 and PC the most, so I think they go nicely together. If the 360 keeps up the pace for the next two years it did for the first it will be one of my favorite consoles of all time.

The fact that it can play three or four of my all time favorite games like Kotor and Dead Rising just sets it apart for me.

That;s a diffrent genre (sure,there are those that think action-adventure isn't a separate genre, but if that's the case then games like Dead Rising or SaintsRow would fall into action genre anyway, as they're much closer to action than to adventure. Dude all three systems have a little bit of everything for gamers. The only reason the xbox 360 has more games is because of the 1 year head start it had, but other then that yes the xbox 360 does have tons of great games for almost every type gamer, the only thing I can think holding people back from buying them is RROD, because it simply showed proof from 2007 lineup that was better then the ps3 and wii lineup and all xbox 360's big franchise games came out and still the ps3 and wii outsold it with a weaker lineup of games that year. I think that is a big fact why the xbox 360 didnt sell as well as MS and people thought it would because of RROD in 2007 with that monster lineup of games the xbox 360 had.clintos59

Call me about a new MMO when they ditch a lot of the conventions that WoW insured we will be recieving for the next 5 years before anyone comes out with something fresh, and actually enjoyable.

You are talking about the Myst heritage, witch has a very low amount of appeal. Why? Because you can get just as much adventure in a title that also has action. News at nine. I loved the first two Tomb Raiders, they were great adventures.

I never thought it would happen but as PC gamer I have to concede that impact the 360 has had on the market. Micro transactions and games like CoD going console. CoD4 is better on the PC because it can be mod'ed not to suck (IMO, if you love CoD4 more power to you). But it seems clear to me that it was made with XBL in mind.

But the 360 gets a lot of attacks on these boards that are just pure **** The fact is that it does have a very diverse line-up and a lot of good to great CONSOLE games.

Hell, sometimes Bioshock is more fun to me on my couch with a big fat trigger and rumble. PC gamers always post like their backs against the wall while trying to argue they know they are still king.

PC's are not in danger. But 6 years ago I did not even really need a console around. MS has changed that.

The only reason the xbox 360 has more games is because of the 1 year head start it had, but other then that yes the xbox 360 does have tons of great games for almost every type gamer, the only thing I can think holding people back from buying them is RROD, because it simply showed proof from 2007 lineup that was better then the ps3 and wii lineup and all xbox 360's big franchise games came out and still the ps3 and wii outsold it with a weaker lineup of games that year. I think that is a big fact why the xbox 360 didnt sell as well as MS and people thought it would because of RROD in 2007 with that monster lineup of games the xbox 360 had.CaseyWegner

Ermm..using this logic there are no adventure, action adventure and roleplaying genres. As almost every game has some form of adventure and action and in every game you play some role :) You can't take the names of the genres literaly.

It would be different, in order for me to be able to adventure around I would have to be free to do as I pleased, and not stuck in a linear game forcing me to go on a certain path. Take Gears of War for example I only really get to move in one direction forward no need to adventure around, but during my fights I experience many different times of action.

Erm..RO isn't run and gun, you will get slaughtered if you try to do it this way, GRAW is much more run and gun than RO not to mention being far less realistic.

I use to Play RO all the time and was fine for the most part running and gunning, more so than playing Graw on singleplayer which was based around using cover.

Allright, all for the good cause :D this gen(sticking to english releases, afterall there are dozens of PC jRPGs released in Japan all the time and just naming commercial games, ignoring all the freeware games)

Are these titles even released in Western countries, It would be pretty hard to follow the story if its in Japanese (if they even have stories) and thats one of the most important elements in a JRPG, and using Hentai games is kinda going far, those arnt really games for "any gamer" which is the threads title. Overall your realling reaching to get any form of a JRPG for the PC, I mean even Aveyond 2 didnt even get reviewed by most sites, if all.

I think these are accurate since they add the three sales from each area. I was only including north America, because he said the rrod kept it from selling more then the wii, and PS3. and to be honest japan wouldn't buy a 360 if it was 50% off lol. Which didn't pertain to his statement. But to keep things honest these are the best figures from a reputable site i could find.

It has what? 3 RTS inferior multiplat titles out now? :lol: Hardly anything compared to the over a dozen great RTS titles (both multiplats and exclusives) that the PC has for this gen alone.

Only 1 exclusive RTS title in its lineup..... and it most definitely will not match up to games like Starcraft 2 or Dawn of War 2.
