More than 310,000 Xbox 360 consoles sold in the U.S. for the week of Nov. 18, including Black Friday, rounding out its third holiday season on the market. While Xbox 360 consoles continue to generate great consumer demand, the strength of the Xbox 360 ecosystem remains unmatched by any console on the market.

...and on CNBC's Power Lunch in a report about melting 360's and their classaction lawsuit....according to them, the 360 sold 310,000 units in the US, outsold the PS3 2 to 1, and 360 software outsold PS3 and Wii software combined.

...and assuming CNBC's financial people are correct in saying that the 360 outsold the PS3 2:1...

then that means the 360 sold DOUBLE the number of consoles that the PS3 sold in the same timeframe.

hence,

310,000 / 2 = 150,000 - 160,000 PS3 consoles sold. (approx.)

If the 360 sold 310,000 and outsold the PS3 by a margin of 2:1 then simple mathamatics can conclude that if 310,000 = 360, dividing by 2 would equal the 2:1 ration then X would = the amount of PS3 sales last week.

310,00/2 = X (PS3's Sold)

So your answer would be about 155,00 PS3's sold which is half of the amount of 360s.

Damn so much for the price drop. PS3 isn't having any real impact in the states. Console sales nor game sales. Maybe people really are just waiting?

What site is more reliable that vgcharts? CNBC? Hell yea CNBC is more reliable. Have you ever watched Power Lunch? It's a financial/stock market/all-things-money program with high repute.
