Plot

It has been about eighteen months since the army of Jacinto fell and they have moved to the island of Vectes to rebuild. The Imulsion infected Lambert began to emerge from the ground.The COG head of state has abandoned the COG and the COG is forced to disband and the members separate to the safest places left.Victor Hoffman takes some of the survivors Arvil Gate and theDelta Squad sets off on the Ravennaval ship and takes all the remaining humans away fromthe Imulsion to avoid further incrusion.Clifff B has said that Gears 3 story will answer the majority of the people's questions about the Gears of War storyline.

Campaign Gameplay and other things related to the campaign

You will play as Marcius Fenix for the majority of the game, but some sections in the game's campaign will make you play as other characters.You can shoot many new locust types now like the Savage Grenaider and the Digger Boomer.Their are also new weapons in the game including the Retro Lance and the Digger Launcher.Four new playable female characters will be introduced into this game. They are Samanthan Brye,Anya Stroud,Queen Myrrah and Bernadette Mataki.Other new playable characters include Jace Stratton who is a battle hardened soliderand who is the leader of a group of humans called the Stranded.

Multiplayer

Beast Mode

Gears of War3 will include an all new beast mode. In this mode you kill COG membersinstead of Locust creatures. You gain tokens in this mode whenever you kill the COG members which can be used towards upgrading your character's ****

Horde Mode 2.0

This mode in different in GeOW3 compared to GeOW2. Players can now choose a Command post which can be used to build defences around it once you gain some cash by killing people in this mode. You can build wire and laser fences,automatic and manual turrents and decoys.Boss monsters will be included in tis mode after every ten waves completed.

Dedicated Servers

Epic has announced that this game will run on dedicated servers because of complaints madeby players about themultiplayer issues in GeOW2.

Other multiplayer modes

In team deathmatch which is a similar type of mode to Warzone gices all the teams that are playing 20 lives per round and when all the lives have run out this game match plays by the Warzone/Exceution rules.Capture the Leader is another mode in this game which is a combination of Guardian and Submission.In this mode the leader will have to be captured and held for about thirty seconds. The leader can still struggle and knock his captor away from him which can turn a match around.King of the Hill is another mode which is very similar to Annex from the revious GeOW games.

Special things in the MP

People can earn awards and unlock many character variations.New execution, weapon skins and mutators(customizable options for private matches can be unlocked).

I'm hyping it 9.5, It's fixing most if not allof the major problems I had with Gears 2

Horrible lag - Fixed with Dedicated Servers (although I suspect it will still have some)

I also disliked how Gears 2 advertised a "better story" When, atleast to me, it was about the same quality wise as Gears 1, however I loved the novels and love the fact the author of them is helping out with Gears

Horde was good but got boring easily, Love the Tower Defense like status of Horde 2.0

Beast mode -Because I always wanted to play Horde Locust view. :P

I am hyping this game 9.5 for me. :)

(and this is from someone who disliked Gears 2)

EDIT : Also love how you can play as different people durring SP, never like Marcus.

I was a bit glad they delayed it so they could put a that nice extra touch on it. Makes the game look even better. :D

Since Gears 1 & 2 are both AAA, and since Gears 3 looks to be 100x better than Gears 1 & 2 (dedicated servers, 4-player co-op, horde 2.0 & Beast)

I think it will get a 9.5 as long as the story ending is good and satisfying. Otherwise, im guessing 9.0

It's going to get at least 9.5 if Gamespot know anything about video games. If the Beta was any indication of the full game then it will be a 10/10.
