Its 2008 all over again guys. Both MGS4 and GTAIV were hyped as "game of the generation". Both got perfect 10s from the major sites like Gamespot, IGN, etc. Both MGSV and GTAV look like they could be some of, if not the best games ever made.

Whatever Rockstar North does for next gen in like 5 years will destroy MGSV. The amount of stuff they're cramming into GTAV is really impressive. mems_1224

This comparison makes no sense, look at both games side by side and you will see why. GTA has always been compared to games like Saints Row because they go for something similar, MGS is not open world sandbox, its open world on its missions, not that you can go around the whole country if you wanted

Well it's obvious that GTA will win in sales and reviews and quality.

Well I'm obsessed with MGS and I passively enjoy the GTA games.  Obvious answer is obvious.

I'll be getting both though.

I think some of you guys are taking Kojimas words to heart a bit too much.  Its not uncommon for him to praise other great games.  And every time he releases an MGS he talks about how disappointed he is with it.

He can be humble to a fault.  Hes said similar things dozens of times over the years.  Kind of funny that it only catches attention when he says it about GTAV.

I guarantee you that in the coming months he'll do something like this again.  Its just how Kojima is and always has been.

And the truth?  I guess.  More people will enjoy GTA just as always.  Its the bigger game with much more mainstream appeal.

But I find it funny how now Kojimas words are suddenly the truth even though the guy is known for spewing nonsense.  :P  Its amazing how people on SW pick and choose when a source is valid.  As long as it suits their position lol.

Really there is no comparing these two games.  Polar opposites.  The only grounds for comparison is that they both come from legendary gaming franchises.

Kojima showing humility just doesn't mean much.  I wouldn't be surprised at all if he came out and said Big Rigs was better than MGS.

And I was not being serious with that "truth" part. It's all subjective one way or another. :P

MGS5 will unquestionably don the better Stealth and combat mechanics, even the character movements on MGS5 will feel simpler since Euphoria makes movements feel fvckedp up and heavy or slow-paced. Having said that, GTA 5 is set to take names with overall presentation on production quality and substantial content quantity.

GTA by a mile. I feel the Metal Gear franchise has run it's course now and should just be laid to rest.

I can't choose. These are 2 of my 3 favorite franchises of all time.

I am looking forward to MGS V more cos it's next gen metal gear and it's a huge change for the series and it's trying a lot of new things. GTA V will be amazing but it's something I kind of know what to expect

Even Kojima has bent over for Rockstar. GTAIV >> MGSIV and GTAV >> MGSV

This is impossible for me to choose, they're not even the same type of game. Two of the best series in gaming imo.

Both.  But I voted MGSV because I'm more likely to finish it.  I never finish GTA.  Ever.

GTA is great but what I saw from Kojima at E3 blew everything away.

Two completely different games.  Just because they are both open world doesn't mean you should compare the two.

As for which would be better... Just have to wait, and see.

Speculation, and opinion on stuff with limited information is becoming quite tiresome to see.

GTA will score higher and have broader appeal. MGS will be more memorable.
