yeah. i liked it when you're in the ewok looking tree fortress base and you go in there and as soon as you open the door 2 of those things charge out after you. i had the SMG ready but (lol) had to die like 10 times before i made it past them. crazy awesome game.

Wouldn't call it the best, but the Hell level in Doom 3 was pretty good.

[QUOTE="Blabadon"][QUOTE="Basinboy"] Been wanting to pick that up after how fun CoD 4 was, but I still have to beat MW2seanmcloughlin

MW3 is bad. It has some cool set pieces and all but it's just monotonous. Eneter area, clear area, watch set piece and repeat is all it boiled down to. MW2 was saved by that ice/snow level. Everything else was kinda bleh

MW1 was excellent because it paced itself so damn well, and the story actually felt like a story. Not pandering.

DC level in MW2 was pretty awesome the first time I played through it. From having to charge the whitehouse from a bunker to the part where electronics are out and it's pouring rain.

Cod2 was very fun to play at the start of this gen. I think my favorite part was doing hill 400 on veteran difficulty.

I didn't like the DC level in MW2 that much (because the deaths felt slightly cheap) but the ending of it

[QUOTE="Master_ShakeXXX"]

And of course how could I forget Black Lake Lodge from Condemned 2. One of the greatest levels in any game.

Cherokee_Jack

Yeah the first part was great, but then the whole rest was just me thinking "When is the bear coming back? I want to fight the bear, not shoot these stupid dudes with stupid guns."

That was the point where the game took a complete nose dive. It made a little comeback with the magician level but then it went back to being crap. Too bad the game just didn't end with you blowing up yourself and the bear. That would have been somethin.

You know, I'm going to straight up say that I can't remember a great amount of the levels in FPSes in general but here goes off the top of my head:

1. Ravenholm

2. Whatever the final area of Half Life 2 is called with the awesome gravity gun

3. Phendrana Drifts

4. Sky City in Prime 3

5. Metro 2033 in general

Yeah... can't remember my FPSes worth a damn. Only Metroid comes to mind at all for good reason since you have to go to every stage so many times.

Metroid Prime was just one long continuous level of awesome and perfection.

*waits for a bunch of people to say that Metroid Prime doesn't count because it's "first person adventure"*

Yeah, I'm waiting for it too. :P

It was a long stream of greatness though for sure. I just remember it a lot more since it was actually good stage and mechanics wise, plus you had to go back to just about every stage to open a new door or get more unlockables. You tend to remember stages once you comb over the stages for hidden stuff.
