what part of PC gaming you love the most warriors ? ...
No it's not...
Since 2000, i have spent more than 10k$ in hardware upgrade only on pc/laptops!!!3
Nowhere near what i spent on all my consoles hardware...So stop with the myths.
Spending 50$ a year for 1000++$ worth of software is a bargain by my standards, but you can look at it otherwise.
And no new software is not that much cheaper on pc even if it's digital only, and the consoles also have now the summer sales like pc.
So yes, these are myths!!!
Have you seen steam sales ? Seriously consoles are not even close to PC when it comes to cheap games .... Games on PC tend to have price drops faster and more significant as well.
You can find plenty of games around the 5$ mark, got recently the whole mass effect trilogy for less than 12$...and you have the used ones too.
The question is, how much does cost a new game digital??? One may think it's for cheap and it's certainly not!!!
Bandai Namco games sell $10 cheaper on Steam than on console.
The two most recent Bamco games released Tales of Zestiria and Saint Seiya Soldiers Souls are both $49.99 on Steam and at the Playstation Store both are $59.99 for the PS4. - SSSS , ToZ
This holds true for the like of Dark Souls 2 as another example. $49.99 for the original and $29.99 for the upgrade to SotFS. Both versions for the PS3 + PS4 are at $59.99 original price for a total of $120 versus only $80 for PC. - DS2 , SotfS /
Another example of this is 2015's Game of the Year The Witcher 3 was cheaper on the PC for players that previously owned W1 + W2, $47.99. - W3 PS / W3 PC
I probably could go on but when an entire publishing company sells their games cheaper new on the PC than consoles, there really is no point especially when PC saved $40 on only one specific game while console player had to have bought two consoles to play both Dark Souls 2 versions new.
Four different games, 2 versions of 1 game, $227.95 cost for PC and 299.95 for PS3/PS4. That is over a $70 saving on only 5 brand new games!
*For PC sources just check Steam.
sure STEAM games are cheaper.Probably because its all digital distribution ...BUT you dont own them.I hear you can download them and put on disc but how? AND games today are on blurays. Are we supposed to buy bluray burners and discs? Im not being negative nancy here..im just say..STEAM is ok,but nothing beats having physical media.
@VanDammFan: PC gamers use external hard drives to backup their games, when you can have all your games on one HD discs are pointless and transfer rates are ridiculously better. 1TB - 3TB drives can go for ~$50-$90 which 2TB can hold 40 50GB games or 80 25GB games, as size is extremely variable so is the quantity of game you can hold. As I just showed the saving from 5 games already almost paid the cost of the backup HD for those games including any future ones.
So what is the point of discs for PC users? If a physical disc breaks you are out the game, for PC you just re-download it. And as somebody who has gotten DOA discs before and lent games to have them returned scratched or even gashed, the digital medium is a much easier way of managing games. Every game I own digitally in a single location with easy access and little to no wait time.
If the trillion to one chance that something ever were to happen to Steam, yes their could be a problem. But that is where GOG comes in, games purchased from GOG are DRM free so if they were ever to go belly up the games have no need for anything extra and can be played without issue.
So many great things about the platform, but overall library is easily the most important aspect to me.
Too many good games coming out all the time. Many games and types of games that you would never find on a console. Even the games you will find on consoles typically perform better on PC. The extensive list of "backwards compatible" games to choose from. The emulation.
It's a double edged sword for me. PC just has too damn many games to play. If I took off work for the rest of the year I still probably wouldn't be able to catch up on everything.
Modding goes such a long way too though. I started playing with the Infinite Heaven mod for MGSV yesterday and it completely breathes new life into the game. It washes away a lot of the nitpicks I have with the game while at the same time enhancing the aspects I enjoy. You just can't customize your experience like that on consoles.
Hahaha!!!
The only thing that you fixed is that you are unaware of what pc gaming is about!!!
But nice try though, let's leave here, it will only be a waste of time!!!
Oh really? What is PC gaming all about, then? Care to enlighten me?
Inb4 "b..but PC gaming is only for teh graphics!!"
PC gaming is first and foremost for gaming, just like any other platform.
You haven't disproved my points yet...
Nice deflection though!
You're arguing with a troll, did you really expect him to refute anything you said?
Well, I didn't even know he was a troll.. :I

Coming from a troll, it's at least laughable!!!
There's nothing worth refuting in Tushar's comment, because building a pc with a console in mind...ends the discussion!!!
Pc gaming was never about that, didn't you figure it by now??? If so, so you are doing it the wrong way!!!
Pc gaming is far more expensive on the long run, anyone building gaming pc knows that, so keep dreaming it's not...
I have been building them for 30 years, to care about someone else's opinion, and even taking into consideration the games prices, it's not even close!!!
Hahaha!!!

Lol!!!
fact 1 : no 600 bucks pc can last ten years, how many upgrades since 2005? // Give us your pc config since and let's calculate with the average prices!!!
fact 2 : witcher3 on steam 60 bucks, 34 on psn, and you have used games market. But whatever rocks your boat!!! //Over all, pc games are less expensive but not to the point to negate pc hardware costs.
fact 3 : I said 50X5 which stands for the last five years, and if you have all sony's systems, you can get 72 games/year.
To make things even easier, with a 400 bucks consoles for 5 years, how much money did you spend on your pc hardware wise , these last five years??? // I know ten years life span is too long, let's settle for five years.
I'm waiting.
Hahaha!!!

By calling others trolls!!!
The best thing about PC gaming is the games - Duh! There's more of them, more variety, and backwards comparability. There's such a small selection of exclusive games on consoles, and most of the good ones are multiplats, and of those the best version is often the PC version.
Hahaha!!!

First you give me a link/reason to why I shouldn't build a PC with console in mind.. or stop with your fallacies.
If you were really building PCs for more than "30 years", you would've known that PC gaming was clearly about the games in the past (and the present).. Even this poll confirms that. Yeah, go tell over 70 Mil + gamers on steam that they know nothing about PC gaming because they are gaming at console levels and that you're right.

And refute this guy's point ^ first, and @GarGx1s..
Let's see, some games I've bought over the last year
Mad Max, 2 days after release - £13
GTA V, pre-ordered - £24
Assassin's Creed Syndicate 2 weeks after release - £14 (it was cheaper on release day at £13)
Fallout 4, pre-ordered - £22
Batman Arkham Knight with full premium contents, pre-ordered - £24 (yeah, I'm a mug)
Might and Magic VII, 1 week after release - £20
I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture.
Anyone who thinks Steam sales are the only place to get cheap PC games really needs to learn how to use google.
Edit: Just had a look and I can get Tomb Raider pre-order for £20
