I don't think it should be banned, I just think it reflects really poorly on the type of people that play COD:BO and console FPS in general.

Then again, I've been playing games long enough where it would be pretty hard for me to form a lower opinion of them.

I don't know where it all went wrong, people have just evolved into gigantic crybabies about everything. People complain about South Park, Family Guy, even the Simpsons. Sex and Violence in Movies and Video games. People coddle their children and try to keep them from everything. Look at how much has changed in movies and cartoons. Pepe Le Pew would catch flack now cause he was basically a borderline rapist that woudn't take no for an answer. Looney Toons was full of racial satires. There were violence in almost all kids cartoons, He-Man, Thundercats, GI-Joe, Transformers, M.A.S.K.

I blame religion and it's extremist.

This needs to stop NOW. Its only a matter of time before the press get hold of this. Computer games are very accessible and it seems the lower echelons in society have more access now. jwsoul

A console and a TV can and is owned by anyone with a wall outlet and a couple of milk crates to put them on. They're certainly more common than a full bookshelf in any household in the US.

i've seen some video-game oriented offensive material, but some of the things on black ops are just unmatched in vulgarity and taste. good God.

I've played CS:S, TF2 and L4D2 on PC. Never seen anything this bad in emblems. And this kind of thing has been around forever.

Most emblems are clan symbols.

It'll probably only get worse as people make guides on how to make certain emblems online. I remember there being a whole site dedicated to the pixel art in Mario Kart DS. I learned how to make Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite lol.

It's Activision's and MS/Sony's service. If you don't like their rules, don't play on PSN or XBL. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have freedom of speech on XBL and PSN, as that's what terms and conditions are about. It's their own private service to you, the consumer, and you have to respect their rules on speech if you want to be a part of that service. If ur one of those people who frequently uses senseless profanity or posts images of pornography or bigotry on XBL/PSN, either grow up or leave the service; you won't be missed.

I'd just have to say that behavior really needs to be governed on online gaming, unfortunately. The online gaming community just hasn't proven itself (at least for a noticeable minority) to be at a maturity level where they can communicate with one another in a respectful, but still fun/enjoyable manner. Can you imagine how many pointless/immature threads we'd see on a daily basis on these forums without mods? exactly.

Somehow I doubt this feature will be in the next COD...
