I will say Banjo-Kazooie was fun, but I'll never say it was original.

I mean, come on, seriously?  Banjo-Kazooie was a bunch of fetch quests in a bunch of levels with really good music.  It's basically a copy of Mario 64, with 100% more fetch quests.

Well, I agree that Banjo-Kazooie is probably the second-best 3D platformer ever.

However, I don't think Rare is the same company they were nine years ago.

I would love for Banjo 3 to be awesome, but I doubt it will happen.

They did have orignal game mechanics in R & C, but I'm not saying that Ratchet and Clank was original.  I never said that.

You said in the original post that Banjo-Kazooie was innovative, I was pointing out it's not all that innovative.

Clearly you guys have forgotten that this was one of the superior platformers of the era. Sure, Rare isn't what it used to be - but if it put out a game with nearly the same quality that the old Banjo games did; this game would demolish other modern platformers completely.

I always thought Jak and Ratchet were pretty "kiddy".  Maybe a little more mature in content but still very silly and "cartoonish".
