The biggest game on the horizon are Monster Hunter Remake (which may, or may not sell well, I'm assuming the latter), and Wii Sports Resort in June/July.

As far as I'm concerned, it'll be the worst selling winning console ever. It'll be lucky to reach 16 million.

I think I heard Lemmings say that the one month the XBOX outsold the PS2 in the US last gen... Funny how Cows are grasping at that type of straw this gen.Shafftehr

You didn't turn on comedy central and see some comedian devote an entire section to "this new PS1 thing."

No one was using their snes as an excercise method.

Those systems weren't treated like the wii. The wii is not treated like a console. It is treated like a fun new toy by the general public. THAT is who nintendo is adopting into their fanbase.

No. The snes, PS1, and PS2 were certainly popular but they were not treated as fads.

What seperates both? Somebody talking about it on TV makes it a fad? No, it means its popular with the mainstream crowd, and with adults, something the PS1 wasnt.

General public always treated consoles as toys. The diference is that they aknowledge it as a valid form of entertainment now instead of completely dismissing it as a loser/manbaby7/nerd's hobby.

You seem to have a wierd perception that the mainstream audience takes the PS360 seriously lol, they dont give a crap about them. Its the painfull truth

Btw, before you start throwing parades, there's nothing stopping the wii from resurging or the PS3 from dropping in sales.
