[QUOTE="samusarmada"][QUOTE="meetroid8"]The sad thing about FPS is that once a new one comes out the last one becomes obsolete so any old FPS can't be the best. Anyway Timesplitters Future Perfect.meetroid8
im playing half life for the first time and i disagree
So you say Half Life is better than Half Life 2?it is, i wanted to say hl2 since its so recent and itll get tons of votes and i loved the game but in all honestly hl was better so i went half life
I, Son_of_SomenominateDeus Exas the greatest FPS of all time.
Even though it's also considered a roleplaying game.
i freshprince223 nominate 007 GOLDENEYE AS THE BESSST FPS ON THE PLANET
i swear that game is truelly the best out there.

yes it was i still play it today at my cuzins on his 52" hd tv 4 player and all this talk about graphics means nothing i still have so much fun with this game and i play gears regulary graphics=/=fun
I, Einhanderkiller, nominate Half-Lifeas the greatest FPS of all time.
While Half-Life 2 featured better gameplay, it wasn't quite as good as Half-Life in regards to the structure, the pacing, and the feeling of the game (but it did come very close!). These elements were combined together masterfully by Valve to create an experience unlike any other. It's why I feel that Half-Life is the greatest FPS of all time.
I Gingerdivid vote for Half-Life 2.
the people voting for Goldeneye are doing so out of nostalgia, as the game has aged poorly.
I nominate Killer7 because it's such a different experience(in a good way) than than other shooters.Blommen
I don't think I can count Killer7 as an FPS...

Still, it's unique. How many other games actually have phyics that cause tables and chairs to explode whenever they're shot at? I bet nobody ever thought of hiding behind a table for bullet cover again.
Holy crap dude watch out! Don't take cover there, tables are known to explode after being shot!

:lol:But still, Goldeneye hasn't stood the test of time by any means. Half-Life pretty much made every FPS game that came before it look dated.
Tough one between Goldeneye, Halo and Half life
but I vote GOLDENEYE!!
had the brilliant replay value on SP the others couldnt touch
and easily the most fun (four players on one screen battles I will remember forever)
and was the first FPS to combine stealth with shooting, I mean finally you could choose how you took out your enemies!!
....and it was Bond
