For me it's Code Veronica aswell, but i also loved the first trilogy on PS1.

RE4 is one of the better games ever made in general.  Easily one of the best games of last gen which is no small achievement.

Trying to compare other games in the series to it isn't even really fair.

This is a tough questions, I have played every single resident game ever and loved most of them but I have to say that RE 4 WAS THE BEST BY FAR, followed by resident 2, resident evil 1remake for gamecube and then resident evil zero.

Man it is sad how overlooked the Outbreak games were....

Outbreak File #2 was soooo much fun back in the day! Unfortunately it required playing online on a console that pretty well lacked online functionality and community.

I feel like that game would have been much better received in a world where online had been the standard....
