Also, RE2 was amazing.

I loved and played the crap out of Resident Evil 4.  I still boot it up from time to time for the Wii. 

I tried playing 1 and could not do it. 

I guess my vote goes for 4 because I thought it was amazing, but I really don't want to/can't bring myself to play the other ones, though I heard 5 is pretty good. 

For me, Resident Evil Nemesis was my favorite followed by Outbreak File #1 & 2.
