The Halo Reach footage proves the 360 has peaked.

Can we all pretty much agree that the 360 has peaked in terms of grahpics? I mean i cant think of one exclusive that looks as good as Gears Of War, and no game that has come out on the 360 since has been able to surpass Gears Of War in terms of of overall visuals and grahpics. Heck Gears 2 didnt even look as visually impressive as Gears 1 did. After seeing the new "in game" footage of Halo Reach ive come to the conlusion that the 360 is already at peak in terms of visuals and graphics.

I mean if MS really wanted one game to really push visuals to the next level for the 360 it would be Halo Reach, but so far from what has been shown, the graphics engine is very underwhelming.. I think the 360 at this point has peaked graphically, thats probably another reason MS is now focusing on Natal, they know they have maximized the 360s technical capabilities so now they are just looking to a more motion based Natal type system to appeal to the casuals.

Nope, Halo games never max the system. What I can confirm is that you really need to be more consistent. I can never follow your allegiance and the fanboy in your threads is getting out of control.

I got to there and loled.

This is coming from someone who doesn't like Halo nor Gears of War, but Gears of War 2 looked way better than the first one could have ever hoped.

With that said the TC really needs to go look at some recent screen shots and videos of some upcoming games or even games that are out now like Bayonetta.

Besides, even if the TC was correct and that the Xbox 360 peaked with Gears 1, doesn't Gameplay > Graphics?

but needless to say I do not feel that the 360 or the PS3 have hit there peaks in garaphical abilities yet, and I dont feel that Reach is the pinnicle of the 360s abilities either, I dont think we will see either consoles powers completely maxed out till we get very near the end of the generation. Plus what makes you say that Reachs graphics are underwhealming? Have there been more trailers released since the VGAs that I dont know about?

the trailer didn't show much, so i will suspend my opinion rightnow ...... but i am not expecting much.

Im not the biggest Halo fan, but i thought the Reach video looked amazing (graphically). I'd go so far as to say its more likely it wont look that good.

TC, Gears 2 looked better than 1, definitely when it comes to character models and textures.

We have to see gameplay footage of Reach 1st, most likely at E3, I'm not counting the beta because betas are never finished products.

Honestly I think the 360 hasn't really been pushed and expoited like the PS3...it should have plenty of headroom left.

Bungie's games shouldn't be the ones to represent the Xbox360's graphical capabilities.
