The Wii hype train was at full speed when all anyone knew was the codename you know. But that was on the back of consoles that actually had some respect though. There's hardly any information on it. How do you expect people to form an opinion on something they don't have knowledge of? Oh wait this is SW nvm.

Nintendo is trying to innovate by giving us a table & console whose capabilities are unimaginable! And yet you all fail to make posts speculating, wondering, and expressing your excitement over the console and the yet to be revealed games a month away... And you call yourselves gamers.Second_HokageMaybe we'll be a bit more excited after E3. Nintendo's kinda made me slightly wary of their new-fangled gimmicks to be honest.
[QUOTE="campzor"][QUOTE="LastRambo341"] Wow, your taste is balls. Gaming gets attention because it evolvesLastRambo341yet the industry revolves around standard gaming mechanics with standard controllers + pc (which has had the same setup for like 20+ years) Yet gaming becomes successful due to motion controls and kinect. Proof? Sales With new controls, we get new gameplay. One day, the gamepad will die
That's like saying one day 2d movies will die because avatar was super awesome at making money.
I understand the worry about Wii U's power, online, and gimmicks, but the comfort of the uPad should be the last of anyone's concerns. Nintendo has proven time and time again that they make ergonomic controllers. As funky as the N64 and GCN controllers look, they were amazingly comfortable. The Remote+Nunchuck combo on the Wii was perfect aside from not having enough buttons. But the comfort was still there. According to reports the uPad is ergonomic and light as well. Easily held with one hand in many videos just like a dual shock or xbox pad. So stop with these baseless insults calling the controller heavy and awkward.
Whats with ignorant PoS like you who just want a gamepad and better graphics? Gaming won't move onLastRambo341
I'm really curious to know what you think Nintendo did with the Wii to "move gaming on"? Switching button-presses to motion-controls on already established franchises isn't what I would call "moving on".
You can't expect gaming to evolve and survive if its gonna do the same old crap. Better graphics with the same old control scheme will not make it surviveLastRambo341
Honestly i have no interest in the wii-u, the only way i will consider it is if they blow me out of the water at e3 this year, mario, mario, mario, zelda and donkey kong, definetly won't do it.
Nintendo really needs to nail this E3 ... there is still a lot of casual gamers who have never heard of the WiiU.

This. Fanboys seem to forget that things have to be earned. There is nothing wrong with expecting a product to EARN my money and attention. I shouldn't be expected to buy it just because it exists, it has to be great enough to make me want to buy it.Honestly i have no interest in the wii-u, the only way i will consider it is if they blow me out of the water at e3 this year, mario, mario, mario, zelda and donkey kong, definetly won't do it.

fanboys? there arent any sheep here and whoevers left is either a level headed sheep or a pessimistic sheep.
Quite frankly. Nintendo needs to really blow me away at E3 to make me have any interest in the Wii-U.
I really do not have faith in Nintendo HOME consoles any more. It's been a long time since I actually enjoyed one (as in the N-64) and even then, that particular console had a pretty awful controller...
In fact, it seems to me Nintendo has no damn clue how to make a GOOD controller for their home consoles. They have been pretty awful for a long time, with maybe the NES and SNES being arguable as alright.
I'll stick to the 3DS for my Nintendo fix because they DO always seem to great in the handheld market. The Wii-U on the other hand will really need to impress. So far the only interesting tid-bit I have heard is a new Pikmin on the Wii-U as I feel that series could definitely make use of the tablet controller.
Hopefully they show some bomb ass games for the 3DS at E3!
The only thing that interest me about Wii U is the ability to play the games on the controller when the tv is in use.

Anyone with any sense knows the tablet is only going to be used in a worthwhile way for a handful of games. It'll mostly be relegated to things like minimaps and calling plays in sports games.
Which is awesome in my opinion. Just having a second screen to get rid of UI clutter and make inventory management more accessible is great. I really hope devs realize this and don't do unnecessary and cumbersome features. There are plenty of obvious benefits that the DS has shown already.

In all seriousness, since I don't see you EVER being pleased with Nintendo in the future. Move on, go with who you think is a better alternative and NEVER look back while the other Nintendo fans enjoy them in peace.

Yep I am tired of people wanting to see Nintendo just do better graphics and the same dated gamepad. Gaming won't evolve[QUOTE="HalcyonScarlet"]
It's supposedly not even a multi-touch screen. Sounds like corner cutting to me.

Resistive > crappy Capacitive.
Haha. Sometimes I think Nintendo could bring out a dirty rag on a stick and you would defend it to the hilt. There is no way resistive touchscreens are better than capacitive.

It's Nintendo cost cutting again and you're letting them get away with it just because you have no backbone.

Dude, the DS has already proven that it's much more accurate. How many vita games make good use of it's multitouch? ...yeah not many

the nes gamers matter more than the new nintendo gamer azzholes.Over the course of my life buying nes,gameboy,snes,n64,gamecube new and games and controllers and rumble packs and graphics packs lol ram expander so on.
I spent thousands of dollars on nintendo products.
**** the casuals they didnt spend the cash i did on nintendo products catering to them is stabbing me in the back just like microsoft is doing now with xbox.

There's a reason professional tablets don't use capacitive screens. Response, accuracy, both better on resistive. Gripping a stylus? I dunno, hold the pad with one hand and the stylus with the other? Are you really trying to suggest that's difficult? How are you supposed to hold a capacitive tablet and touch it with one finger? Idiot.
Nope. They aren't getting away with anything. You just can't accept the Nintendomination.
...whose capabilities are unimaginable! Second_Hokage
Really?
No, the lack if excitement is fine with me. I don't want to be forced to look at two screens. The hardware will be a minor improvement over the PS3/360's. It still has the Wii name so casual will still be the main focus.
