Another GOTY has been announce for 3 time top 10 GOAT developer and 2X top 5 GOAT developer Naughty Dog. I know it's a given, but I'd like to give a special shout out to Naughty dog and current gen 8 console leader SONY.

Yup. Amazing how when something is said in regards to a game involving Sony, its all legit. Notice that? Like, the IP Street Fighter. One of the biggest in the gaming industry, and I am supposed to believe that Capcom were NEVER EVER going to make another Street Fighter game in the history of gaming unless Sony came in. But then the game launches a mess and cows say "its Crapcom".

None of us are privy to what really will happen or goes on so all we have to go on are what is told to the media. They say "no SF5 without Sony" okey doke. But nobody can post anything that clearly says Spencer and Xbox didn't put in on the development cost of Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Well yes. But is there really an evidence that supports the theory that they actually DID consider anything else? I mean at least we have an old image of an older Ellie and her guitar (and it was already noted that she could be the main protagonist in the then-hypothetical sequel), and now here we are, that is indeed the sequel. Kinda makes me think they've been secretly writing this sequel since the day TLOU was released, and they never really cared about the fans requesting that Joel and Ellie's tale not be continued.

Anyway. I may well be making a mistake. After all it's just a game and the primary task of any game is to make money for its developers. I can't grudge them for that. Maybe I had too high a regard for the original game, so much so that it's clouding my judgment about the sequel.

(in the comments section of the article I've been doing the same nagging; a dude gave me a nice example: the original Terminator which seemed to be perfect, that was bested by Terminator 2)

Not really, maybe for a ps3 game, but in general just no.

In case you haven't notice I am mainly talking about exclusives and the ps3 has no good exclusive games. And multi platform games are generally inferior on console, just look at gta 5 on ps3, it looks like someone took a dumb on it. So jaggy and blurry, its almost unplayable. Well, at least the ps4 has one good game, called bloodborne, but even the ps4 is already outdated and getting slowly replaced by the ps4 pro version.

I really hoped the last of us will be a single entry only. Didn't enjoy it that much and hoped ND will take on a new IP

My information is 2 years old and claim years before EA and Respawn made a deal,MS deal with EA to get the game exclusive making a PS4 version was easier than the xbox one version you moron,in fact tools for PS4 games were more advanced and easier to use than the xbox,and making the game for both would not have being a deal breaker even freaking indies can make version for 3 platforms is a pathetic excuse,to try to pin on sony what was EA and MS fault,EA had a deal with respawn so using running out of money as excuse is a joke even more if they knew the PS4 version would leave them even more profits.

EA firmly believed that MS would be ahead and lol they loss,they got in bed with MS to screw activision and only they got burn.

Pre production of Titanfall started on 2011,when EA sign the deal with Respawn it was April 2010 so even before Titanfall development started Respawn had signed with EA,and guess what on 2010 the xbox 360 slim hit and was selling like hot cake and saw a huge spike in sales.

That is the reality fact is sony didn't have to give respawn a cent EA was there which signed a deal with Respawn before Titanfall production even begin.

Because i do and i remember how it flop score wise in metacritic and how the whole charade about most awarded games on E3 2013 turn into salt.

Hell the PS4 outsold the xbox one the month Titanfall came in US as well,even that MS was offering Titanfall + xbox one Kinect for $449 a huge deal more than $100 in savings.

It was $10 dollars cheaper to get an xbox one + titanfall on march 2014 with Kinect than a PS4 with Infamous which was $459.

Look at the page before this one i already posted what happen with this game,is old news EA sold out because they believed that MS would win when EA and respawn signed the deal it was 2010 the year the xbox 360 slim model hit,EA admitted to have look at the performance of the 360 when they took the decision to leave the game exclusive to xbox one.

This ^^ funny because they claim on Dynamitecop info that Sony turn them down when they ran out of cash and MS answer,funny Since they claim here that a day after they announce the studio MS was ready to send them development kits which is a joke because Respawn was made on 2010,on that date there were no xbox one development kits,in fact the GCN architecture on which the xbox and PS4 are based on wasn't even on PC on 2010,as the 7970 was the first GCN GPU on PC and launched in late 2011.

So i wonder what dev kits they have other than 360 which would have mean they were in bed with MS since day 1. And basically kill the whole sony say no bullshit and since MS knew who were the masterminds behind COD it was a no brainer,by the next month EA had a deal with Respawn Titanfall didn't even existed yet when that happen.

Of course that’s not all, and Respawn started working on the game without any exclusivity in mind. Things changed when they realized the potential of the cloud feature brought by Windows 8 and Xbox One.

Well, its my opinion. A game can neither be objectively good nor bad, its always subjectively. Some people enjoy these types of games others don't. And the ps3 simply doesn't have any games I consider good. Claiming that I don't own a playstation nor that I didn't play the last of us isn't an opinion, is nothing more than a false accusation.

What are you bleating on about now? The fact it has action does not mean it's action packed which implies it's exciting. It is in fact incredibly boring despite the 'action'. TLOU isn't relentless action but what's there is a lot more enjoyable and exciting so no need to go counting action scenes specially when comparing it to a SP campaign that got slaughtered almost universally.

And yes, for me and just about every reviewer and the vast majority of user reviews TLOU is considered fantastic and exciting. Halo 5's campaign is considered utter drivel even by some Halo fans (and I count myself as a Halo fan). And please drop the juvenile 'cow' drivel I play on several platforms.

Just a reminder and a refresher and you must always remember that the original The Last of Us Remaster floppage was one of the biggest flops in System Wars history that the crying, account suicides, alt account creations and the changing of the SW hype and the end of the SW metagame resulted from it. Remember when GS scores were the only thing that mattered, well the TLoU Remastered floppage, was one of the PlayStation flopped games that changed that. There are many more Sony fans that frequent and moderate these forums and they give this website traffic, so of course forums, reviews and articles will try to keep what's left. GameSpot can't handle another TLoU floppage exodus again. So expect a better reception for the sequel. If you don't know how you know. The Last of Us Remaster was one of the biggest flop in SW history and completely changed everything.
