That is what I'm baffled about. Seriously all I remember was some intense combat and a lot of swear words at my self lol. I mean the AI wasnt the best thing around but was ok. That youtube stuff is like that kotaku Highlight Reel show lol. You would be surprised at the games that make it to that show. I can easily put together a video of a game and rip them to shreads. I thought AI could have been better but not that crazy.

@rekonmeister: I stopped getting the games after Black Ops 2 disappointed me. Skipped Ghosts (which I hear I dodged a bullet on), skipped Advanced Warfare, and then... got Black Ops 3, and it sucked.

Never again.

I have been a PC gamer for over 6 years now, i skipped the 7th gen up until 7 months a go when i got a PS3 Phat 40GB which i put a 500GB HDD in.

I've been PC gaming for about 25 years now and had a similar interaction with last generation, I owned both systems but hardly used them or took part in it, I didn't even get Xbox Live until two years ago.

The generation just droned on way too long and games stopped being impressive quickly due to PC skyrocketing past it so quickly.

Well my specs are in my sig, an AM3 Dragon build from 2010, the GTX 580 i sometimes OC further depending on the game, and i am a PC hardware enthusiast.

I have several other PC's 1 with an i5 2500k + GTX 480.

I don't even have an XBOX ONE, i have a few OG XBOX's.

Here will this cheer you up? PS2 and MGS2? i mean you don't have brain cells so if i play a video of me playing MGS2 it may rest your hate.

The Last of Us is great game and it is better than Uncharted. It's not a mindless action game. Guns have a lot of punch, Melee combat is also great and impact is powerful and the game has Semi- crafting elements that encourage you to explore environments and collect useful items instead of useless collectables.

Graphics weren't anything special but for an ancient PS3 hardware, they were pretty good. The AI was a mixed bag. Sometimes it worked great, sometimes it was retarded. The story was not original but execution was great. Characters were also likable and gameplay was fun. Overrated? May be. Was it original post apocalyptic game? If you only game on Consoles. But at the end of the day, it was excellent. 9.5/10.

Are you for real? The crazy jumps you people make to try and connect things is incredible... Did you not see that temporal reconstruction thread? It took 13 pages of arguing, videos from not only myself but technological analysis websites and the developer themselves for people to come to terms with the functions of Quantum Break's rendering methods, and some still didn't get it, and that's a RARE situation for something console related... I don't want to run into things like that constantly with ignorant people so I avoid PC discussion here because it would happen often, most people in this community are not exactly what I would call informed or knowledgeable...

I don't know whats so great about this game, I only played halfway through it, but never finished it.

I'm beginning to notice a trend here, the three of us in this thread that are not over the moon for this game are PC gamers, I wonder if there's some kind of connection there.

The Last of Us is by all means, my favorite ND game when I played it on PS3 and now, PS4, thanks to the remastered and I won't have to play it on PS3 ever again. Even the great Angry Joe review it and gave it a highest score with a badass seal of approval. The reason why TLOU was brought to PS4 so that those Xbox 360 gamers who went out and buy PS4 can finally play it what they were missing during there 360 gaming last-gen.

I give TLOU a 8/10.

That's kind of what I'm wondering, if there's some type of connection with the games we're partial to or have played over the years that doesn't qualify this game for us as anything remarkable.

That's what I would rate it as well, I don't get how people arrived at this 95/100 threshold for the game, it's good but I just don't see it.

I liked this game. I'm a pc gamer as much as anyone. I'm also a console gamer. In real life programming is my work my craft on a same but slightly different industry. I have worked for Bioware on there tools department back on my junior days could have stick around and go that route. There is a certain entertainment in this forum. I remember coming here to correct someone about console hardware and he threatened to call pc guys on me lol. It can be very comical here. There isn't any connection some of us are fans of games that other are not.

My experiences shouldn't give me a say on what people like. I should just try to understand what aspects of something that made it great and loved by so many people. If not so be it.

i can even call it a masterpiece , we need more such awesome single player experiences and ppl should support such games. And pretty much this :

TLOU was the most hyped game I've ever seen, although I wasn't really on this website much when Twilight Princess fist came out, maybe that was more hyped? But anyway, that hype was scary, and I think it really impacted people's opinions, some to even love the game before they actually played it.

Anyway, I still haven't played the game, although I will hopefully sometime in the next year. I'm looking to score on a PS3 deal so I can play a few games I missed last gen- TLOU being one of them.

The game was another pilished ND game, 8/10 from gamespot is the perfect score, the game was fun, I played through it in one sitting, the music and sound effects even on a budget sound system are amazing.

Naughty Dog are an amazing studio that put out high quality games. People should be hyped by their games.

Anyway, I personally was disappointed. I used to play the demo alot from the God of War Ascension demo. Then last year when I decided to get the real game, I wasn't impressed to give it 9s and 10s.

Yeah as in one go, started the game with a friend and we took turns until it was finished. I agree it wasn't a 9 or 10 game, hence why I said gamespots score is perfect, aka the right score in my eyes anyway.

The game is still a lot of fun to play and I recommend it to anyone, it's classic Naughty Dog.
