Just played the remaster again on PS5, so i'm good not buying this.

One of my favorites from last gen... Will be passing on this for sure. Waaaaaay too soon for a remake. Not even remotely interested.

I will however pick it up for 10 bucks in a couple years on pc. Thanks Sony!

Hey, I wasn't too far off on this one; I had this at the new (post-Spider-Man) baseline odds at 75% overall and 20% for Round 5, which might sound low but Round 5 was packed with other games with strong odds. I was also bang-on in thinking Sony wasn't done announcing something in June, though I thought they would do it during SGF. Still, close enough.

This was also pending a move to >99% overall depending on how well Uncharted does; reasoning being that if Sony didn't have this in the works already, they'd almost certainly greenlight it then. I guess Sony just beat me to the punch.

I was under the impression TLoU was being remade. As in, a complete revamp in the TLoU II’s engine, with rebuilt environments, visuals and mechanics. Ala what Capcom is doing with RE4.

This is nothing but a trailer for the original game. I would jump at the opportunity to buy a remake of TLoU I in II’s engine, but if Sony really thinks I’m going to shovel out for a game I already own, numerous times over, they’re in for a wake-up call. If this is what the “remake” is, it’s no remake at all. This is a insultingly lazy cash grab, and I’ll have none of it.

PC? Wow, can finally play this. Never been a consistent console gamer since dreamcast.

Still not sure why resources were put into this. The remaster holds up well enough.

This is the third version of the same game... Lol it came out June of 2013... That means every three years Sony rereleases it at premium price for you to rebuy. If that doesn't scream, creative deficit, I don't know what does.

Update: so it turns out I was actually right that it would be announced at the SGF, it's just it was leaked ahead of time. Nice.

Remember, folks: Sony wants to make $300 million from PC by end of March next year. I think they're STILL not done.

We call them cows because of the way Sony milks them. Here is a prime example.

Why doesn't Sony remake Jak and Daxter instead? Or the Resistance series as well? Seriously there are tons of Sony games that deserve a remake instead of The Last Of Us.

Is it just me or this doesn't look good? This is nowhere near on par with the Demon's remake.

They had Ashley and Troy baker present in the room with them and didn't know what to do with them.

AAA industry rather invest in live services and catching whales with malicious practices.

That's why they keep publishing the same singleplayer games over and over.

Bethesda is only AAA company who are invested in new IPs, and newer titles that are creative.

Jesus Christ, the greatest game of all time is getting remade.

Not really necessary, but when an 11/10 masterpiece gets remade, I'm buying day one.

I was surprised to see the Firefly edition of TLOU was only $100.. that's pretty cheap lmao. I'll be buying that version.

I think most of us wanted a new game from ND, not a remaster and a GaaS game.

Can't say like what they've done with the lighting and characters. Look so much cleaner now with a warmth colour in the lighting. The DOF.
