They just never get enough do they? lol :P
@ghosts4ever:
I'm all honesty, the PS4 releases of GTAV and TLOU at least made more sense. They were both super popular games that released on the exact same year as new next gen consoles that weren't backwards compatible. Releasing a next gen version just makes sense.
The PS5 releases on the otherhand are 100% about easy money. Take two just doesnt want to move on from GTA Online in any way and, PlayStation has a TV series to capitalize on (and a PC market to crack into).
@SecretPolice: When you are blessed with playing the best game ever made, The Last of Us, you damn straight we will buy every remake and remaster. 4K/60, 8K/120, 16K/240, 32K/480, and the 64K/960 version on PS9 when that comes out.
Can't say like what they've done with the lighting and characters. Look so much cleaner now with a warmth colour in the lighting. The DOF.
Sony bros will buy it again, love their movie games.
Very disgusting. But it is what it is.
Is it just me or the new version looks worse than the original. Can't put my finger on what's wrong but it looks worse.
Looks like explosive arrows are going to be in the game...also tactical shotgun? Probably just a skin name of the regular shotgun, but one can dream....

Day 2 of hearing this news and it makes my stomach turn. Happy for pc folk and I guess new gamers to the game because it really is a wonderfully executed experience. As for folks like me who have played it and the remastered (which also wasn't necessary) I just can't imagine spending day 1 prices... It makes me question so many things about how far a company can milk a group of people to this extent and get away with it.
There will be folks who have already paid twice for this game and will get in line for a 3rd shot to the jaw.... What makes them tick?

Entirely disagree.... When you have been blessed with a great experience you fondly remember it, occasionally go back to it and hope the developers have enough fresh ideas to make new things.... In this case, there are no fresh ideas and that is disippointing.
I loved TLoU, beaten it many times. Will definitely not be feeding this practice ofilking consumers. Makes me feel like gaming is gonna crash and burn when I see these things.

omg LOL. Keep it coming sony, milk the cows harder..HARDER I SAY...HARDER!!
And Ratchet and Clank, Returnal, Uncharted , Infamous, Ghost of Tushima, Killzone, Horizon, Infamous.... MS has a long way to go.
Ooh an IP list war? If MS has a long way to go then Sony doesn’t have a chance to get there. 😂
Sony would have to back track two decades to be where MS is now 😆
MS absolutely demolishes Sony right now 😂
Just gonna drop an objectively true statement here and trigger the Lemmings.
TLoU is better than ANY and ALL games in the entire HISTORY of Xbox. If Lemmings had a masterpiece like this on their own platform, they would buy it many times over.
But yes go ahead Lems, damage control with your Forzas and Flight Simulators. Even Microsoft has admitted they wish they could make a masterpiece like TLoU.
The Last of Us $100 version is already sold out

The cows have gone full tilt delusional 😂

I have played it a couple times. Once it hits $29.99, I will probably get it.
I can't believe Naughty Dog is developing this.... Wtf are they thinking? Is no one concerned about this? A MAJOR developer is choosing to do this as projectinstead of something new? RIP Naughty Dog?
Their excuse is that after the success of TLOU2, they have expanded greatly, and can now take on multiple projects.
@TheEroica: Why can't they do all of the above? They're working on three projects at the moment. Their multiplayer project is likely so big that they can't take on TLOU3 or a huge new IP right now anyways.
And fwiw, this project didn't start at ND. It was being done by another team within PlayStation's Visual Arts dev team before the team has disbanded.
Druckmann needs to subvert my expectations and give me 10 hours of Abby cycling test and anavar. Need to see the origin story of those gains.
No.........
@pc_rocks: Yep, I see it too. Older version looks better to me. I like the higher contrast better and Ellie's face looks different now. Not a fan of the "better lighting" and the weird looking hair (not that any of this matters but it doesn't warrant a new purchase of an old game). I'll be sticking with my old version to play again whenever.
jeez, why remake this game, but I guess its a good thing because PC will be getting the new version also.
Because they want to hype people up for the TV show and sell some more games at the same time. I think it should have just been a PC port.
And it will sell like hotcakes. People want it, people will buy it and Sony will reap the profits from it. A win win.
I too think that it will sell, but not as much as it did on the ps3/ps4.

They certainly have the right to do whatever they want... I just don't see it as a good sign to push talent towards redundancy. It seems like one of three things...
1. A Questionable Management decision to divert talent to this project instead of dropping the idea until it made sense.
2. An acknowledgment that ideas and concepts are lacking within, so why not go back to something known.
3. Management Knowingly attempting to prey on gamers lack of self control and inability to acknowledge they're buying the same game again. Remake or not. Ps3 tlou is still a very competent and beautiful experience. They'd rather take 70 bucks out of your pocket for 4k 🤣

I would agree with that considering the still smaller PS5 install base. Not sure if PC will pick up the slack or not?
@The_Game21x: I'm glad I'm not broke like you are.
I was surprised to see the Firefly edition of TLOU was only $100.. that's pretty cheap lmao. I'll be buying that version.
Broke? Because I'm not interested in paying $70 for a game I already bought twice? Sure, buddy.
If I wanted it, I'd buy it. Not sure why the fact that I don't want it has made you so upset.
I'm very pleased they are remaking it.
As good as the game is , there are plenty of things to rework and fix . I rewatch many new people play the game and the problems are so evident. So many problems and frustrations can be eliminated or greatly reduced. The Last of Us newbies on PS5 / PC are going to have a much better and smoother time playing the game. And it's going to have increased accessibility options so more people can play or play the way they want to.
As far as price , if you really desire to play it ... you have options - play it when it's cheaper , game-share it , rent the game , play it when it inevitably hits PS+ , etc. It's not that big of a deal.

My main problem is she no longer looks like a 14 year old child, but someone in their very late teens to early twenties. A child’s face is not filled out like that, her facial proportions have matured, and she has a sense of veterancy and experience in her eyes, something contrary to having lived a life in a zone. It’s an inferior model to the original.
Other than that and on second consideration, I’m mostly happy with the changes (aside Joel’s model as well). I was expecting a much more drastic and liberal remake to the visuals…..not so conservative (especially after having just come off RE4). But if this incorporates the mechanics and enemy engagements of the second one well, I’m down.
@MirkoS77: all of the characters look different from their original models imo
Yeah. Ellie’s sticks out the most to me though, as during the teens its generally easier to see the individual passage of years.
Joel also looks like a puppy dog now:
I am seeing it as a remaster, not a remake based on what was announced. 🤷♂️
Remakes & Remasters are 2 different things when it comes to development. TLOU on PS3 was built around the Cells and while remastered to PS4 version had issues cause there were lots of framerate drops. The only way to skirt around those problems is to start all over again hence it's a remake building from the ground up...at least how I see it🤷♂️
Edit: It’s a remake of the remaster✌
A remakester?
Anyway looking forward to giving it a shot on PC.
It was one of the most amazing games I ever played but back on the PS3. Also considering it has had a remaster version already. At this point it is just milking pure and simple. This is just an easy way for Sony to charge their fanbase yet again for the same game again, and again.
The sequel was woke trash.
@CanYouDiglt: What makes the sequel woke?
Well I would post the tranny sex scene but I do not want to get banned. There is also the character that looks just like the lead developer killing the lead white guy from the first game. All the dumb gay crap. Plus more.
In the end it is woke.
Yeah, no none of that happens. It's clear you haven't played the game and have no clue what happens in it.
