100 minutes of cutscenes for a game I imagine will take 30 to 40 hours (not buying the 50 to 100 hour claim), that's still not bad, MGS4 had like a a single cutscene that long and this is broken up through the entire game so I think I can handle it.

It could've worked if they had the fetch quest inserted throughout the game. But 8 consecutive ones? bleh.

Yeah yeah and MGS4 cutscenes were also skippable, and yet people are hating on it? 90 min worth of cutscenes btw. I better see someone call this Zelda the movie or its just lemmings raging that mgs4 isnt on 360.

50 hours is a breath of fresh air compared to recent games trying to pass 10 hour SP Gameplay as long. Man I can't wait for this game :P

People call MGS4 a movie because of the gameplay:cutscene ratio. Where several players spent more time watching cutscenes than actually playing the game. Sure you could skip the cutscenes, but in order to understand the story and get the full experience you would have to watch the cutscenes, most of which were drawn out to extreme levels.

MGS4 had over 5 hours worth of cutscenes btw.

MGS4 around 50% of the game is cutscenes.
Skyward Sword around 3% of the game is cutscenes. Big difference.

Really? I thought the game was a well crafted adventure through and through. Its not perfect but I thought it was full of life, more so then most games. Sailing really did suck when you had to cross the entire map though, once you could warp it was much better.

Okay... think about it. 100 minutes of cutscenes... with over 50 HOURS of gameplay. Not really that big a deal. Especially considering games like MGS4.

Metroid: Other M worked... and this is being done but a much stronger team. I can't be anything but happy.

Yea, only the final fetch quest was rushed, the rest of the game wasn't. And I am pretty sure it was supposed to be3 dungeons (which makes more sense because there's only 2 real temples in the game)

Hey, that's interesting. I always thought it was three more... Still though, I wish they hadn't cut them out. The game would have been simply perfect if those two dungeons hadn't been chopped out.

Hey, that's interesting. I always thought it was three more... Still though, I wish they hadn't cut them out. The game would have been simply perfect if those two dungeons hadn't been chopped out.

I remember it being 3 as well. Still, Im sure they rushed it for GC limitations on the disc, rather than GC sales. And it probably would have been the best Zelda game if it wasn't for that part. Such a shame.

Oh no, it couldn't have been the disc. The Wind Waker is 890 MB, whereas a Gamecube disc can hold 1.4 GB. There was plenty of room to add more content. I'm pretty sure it was cut because Gamecube sales had effectively stalled.

WW came out in 03, GC sales weren't horrific durring that time. The GC started bombing very hard in 2004 and on.But who knows then :P

They said the game was too long and they wanted everyone to be able to finish it. :P
