Did you watch the video from DF? I did, the whole 50ish minutes of it

They laughed when they mentioned the 1 fps difference saying it wasn't important... I personally don't care, but if people are going to post random screen shots as "proof" it can be done both ways (that was the point of my post).... and as for "cherry picked source" NX Gamer is very good at what he does and is not some random guy out there, in fact he has done work for IGN for articles comparing performance in different games.

And here is the DF clip talking about the 1fps difference in that one sequence.. they are mocking people who make a big deal about this and they are attributing it to Chaos physics

Like I said in my other post it is a TECH DEMO which DF points out multiple times and that Epic says the engine needs more optimization and that is one reason they put this out there

@pc_rocks: the UE5 engine is being used in like 50 different pc games already. Gears of War and perfect dark, hellblade 2, they all are going to use the same engine matrix is using, ue5 and all these games will be on PC.

The ue5 engine is literally being used in 50 other games beside matrix. In fact I was surprised matrix isn't on pc, it's not even a big title in the first place. Gears of War, hellblade 2 and perfect dark will be much bigger titles that showcase the ue5 engine.

Im not arguing t flops, I’m saying that cold hard facts, as powerful as the xsx is, their exclusives only look marginally better than the ps5, if at all, and that’s with the current library, and Halo isn’t one of those “high graphical” games either. I spent some time with this today. The demo, or whatever you wanna call it looks fantastic. But it runs like ass. All this does is show us these consoles aren’t ready to properly run what’s coming next in games.

Maybe there is case to make for always 60 fps, but i would not choose same graphics as previous generation with better resolution. Doesn't seem to be worth it.

I just wish Xbox or PlayStation would go Nvidia, instead of just going with the lowest bidder for these console contracts. I’ve always said, you get what you pay for. AMD is and has been behind with GPU tech for some time. We are getting 2060 Super - 2070 Super performance right now, and that’s gonna stand for the next 5 years at least. And I know for a fact Nvidia had something better to offer, but the margins weren‘t as attractive. It’s just frustrating playing this Matrix demo and seeing it perform the way it does. This could be better! But lol AMD…

The demo is insane, but i believe it could be much better optimized, maybe to the point of running at 60fps.

I have seen small objects, like a plastic bottle, made by hundreds of nanites/polygons. Assets like that could be made with 90% less detail and no one would notice the difference.

@BassMan: The Switch does what it does on a 7W-15W TDP. AMD couldn’t do that. If AMD made the Switch, it would be double the size, twice the heat, triple the TDP and half the batter life. AMD is behind in desktop GPUs. They’re even further behind on small form factor products.

Watch a RDNA2 hyping Lem deflate as you explain to them that VRS is a tech that degrades image quality for performance purposes. If the GPU is so capable, why does it need VRS at 1440p-1800p and 60fps?!?!

I need to find a clip of this Xbox Youtuber, Dee Bach, explaining what machine learning is. It’s quite comical. These guys would be considered clueless even on System Wars…
