hb2 did not look graphically better. its hard to compare the 2 because one is dark ad one is colorful. but hzd 2 open world is more impressive. from under water, gliding, the gameplay fluid. grappling hook gameplay as well. world is just full.

Wide versus narrow. In an overly simplify explanation if you have a GPU than can process 12 units every cycle and the other 16, it is clear that 16 is better. However, the 12u GPU has 3 cores and 16u GPU, 8 cores. The cores in the 12u GPU can process 4 units per cycle but the 16u GPU only 2 per cycle. In order for the 16u system to be full maximized, the jobs would need to be broken up into smaller pieces versus the 12u, which can process larger chunks of data faster. Depending on the scenario, the 12u will outperform the 16u and vice versa. This is an oversimplification of one element in the way the GPU handles data.
