I've played all the games mentioned so far except the monkey game lol, and WoW wins easily, azeroth/outlands is a living breathing world with 15k+ players, why do you think people get so hooked? =pEddie-Vedder
Agreed. WoW consistently stays in my list of favorite games, because it does nearly everything so amazingly.
Massive variety, intense and challenging bosses (people who think DMC or NG bosses are hard should really try some of the 25-man raids in WoW. Hell, even some of the bosses in ZA are BRUTAL.)
Awesome PvP, a great community, tons and tons of content, with new content always being added, and a world so real you can feel it.
World of Warcraft is a feeling.

thats exactly what i was thinking :P
Bioshock does a terrible job of immersion for anyone who actually cares about objective, story, realistic character development, or basically anything else. STALKER is a far more immersive game.
Lately though? Immersion comes from this:
subrosian
Is that Sins of a Solar Empire?

I didn't know opinions were wrong :|

This is running at 1680 x 1050 on maximum settings on a GeForce 8600gt 256mb. GeForce 8800 owners should easily be able to add 4x AA / 16x AF to that equation.
metroid primeomarguy01.
Agreed. The world is so organic, that it really feels like you're the only one there.
AVP2 I really felt like i got into the roles of a marine , alien and predator.Ontain
Agreed that is one of few games where I felt that I was somone else. My other fav is OFP because even though the voice acting wasn't good and the graphics where bad u actually felt like u were a soilder just one small peon in a giant war.
I can't believe anyone would say WOW is anything close to being immersive, you have never played an immersive game ever if you think that game is immersive. Its really really no where close.dipper145
WoW is one of the most immersive games I've played.
Metroid Prime was also uber immersive.
STALKER and World of WarCraft.
Both of these games make excellent use of technology, art, and audio to suck you into their game worlds.
Half-Life Universe that includes Every Half-Life game and Portal.
also the Metroid Universe because there is so much in it, and Metroid Prime series is very Atmospheric and Immersive especially the part when you go underwater and then leave the water the Partical Effects on the visor immerses you in even more then you would be with just the environments.
