The best Wii shooter, MOH, doesn't compare to the best shooters on the PS3/360, not in the control department or any other department.
They just look horribly generic or uninspired. I don't know exactly what you expect me to say.
A House of the Dead that adds nothing over the old XBox House of the Dead 3 (and that game scored a 6 something for the XBox,) the original Sin and Punishment was a "meh" average game - this new one looks even worse, another Tenchu, Fatal Frame, etc. etc. Another Wii Sports, Another Endless Ocean, etc.
RuprechtMonkey
here's where it gets interesting. why are all these games being compared to other games? why cant they be looked at on their own, as games in their own right? why must a comparison be made?

gameplay is what matters most

i don't think TC's trying to prove wii will have a better lineup than 360 and ps3. i think he's simply just showing us promising games. No ones even hyping these AAA or even AA yet. sheep are just simply keeping a lookout. which is understandable considering nintendo themselves lately aren't exact;y bringing out anything spectacular.
I find it ironic though that the the wii games to look forward to this time are third party titles. >_

A comparison between past games in a series is usually a pretty solid way to determine how a sequel game will play, especially when it comes to generic titles like House of the Dead, or stuff like Wii Sports and Endless Ocean. Do you honestly think Endless Ocean 2 is going to suddenly depart from the first game and "reinvent" a boring series, or that House of the Dead is going to be anything other than the lightgun game the series has always been? I've watched the Sin and Punishment trailers, it looks exactly like the old Sin and Punishment apart from motion control, and that does not bode well.
What exactly are you basing your anticipation of these titles on, pure intuition, 5 screenshots?
So many of those games look like average 7.0, meh, titles.

Probably because Wii hasn't come anywhere close to establishing a decent base (or even one single game) of FPS's games on the system whereas the PS3, 360 and PC certainly have.
The best playing FPS so far on the Wii, MOH, was lackluster.
True its very diverse but all of those games have one thing in common...they all suck not a single game that interest me. imo of course :D

Isn't that a good thing? I mean a new Zelda and Pikmin are already in development so we know the first party titles will deliver. It is good to see great third party support :)

Wasn't Lair totally crippled by its bad controls? :? Didn't that result in its abysmal score?
lol. are you serious. I can find a game for everything you showed for the 360 and PS3, and there will be more of it. The wii has a diverse library but it pales in comparison to the 360 and PS3.too_much_eslim

bu... teh Wii Sports RESORT!!!
Honestly, i'm just happy about Sin and Punishment 2 and even Punch Out!! The next Nintendo IP I want to come out is Pikmin. If that is announced, then the Wii really does have the most diverse line-up in 2009.
Here, let me change that:
No new Zelda or Star Fox game = Fail.
I know its unlikely, but we don't know for sure that the new Zelda game won't come out by the end of 2009.
Both Fatal Frame 4 and House of the Dead are Survival Horror games, FAIL!
Nice list though... You're also missing the gamecube remakes like Pikmin 1 and 2 and Metroid Prime.

I know! I thought Fatal Frame 4 was suppose to be released in the US in September. If their pushing it back to twik the controls I'm fine with it because it'll turn out better in the long run.
P.S. I've bought 10 games for my Wii this year alone, compaired to my 7 360 games. So at least I found fun games worth playing!

It is a new IP but according to Wikipedia Disaster comes out in 2008, therefore it shouldn't be in the list.

theres just one question. why do these games look like compete garbage?
They just look like average, "meh." titles.
And some are just downright bad, even some of the most anticipated ones. Monster Hunter? The highest Monster Hunter scored what, 6 something?

It has a 75 on GR, and are you honestly suggesting that can compete with the FPS's on the 360/PS3/PC?!? The game has a barely passable multiplayer and the campaign was completely lackluster.
That's my point. The Wii has no established FPS presence.
I am not suggesting that. You were talking about how the Wii "hasn't come anywhere close to establishing a decent base (or even one single game) of FPS's games on the system whereas the PS3, 360 and PC certainly have." I was merely proving you wrong where you suggested that the Wii doesn't have a single good FPS game. Since we go by professional reviewers here and not random fans and/or fanboys, you are wrong. It's as simple as that.
And I've played more MOH than probably any of those reviewers, on and offline:

i cant find that guys original post, but dude, the original sin and punishment was freaking awesome, one of the best games to never be released outside of japan.
It seems that many fanboys are mindlessly bashing the lineup(with no other argument then"there crap"), but take this in mind.
Think about the 360s 09 lineup. Alan wake, Halo 3: Recon, Bioshock 2? Mass Effect 2? (If I'm missing something, tell me)
Now compare that to the Wii's lineup. Yeah...
Obviously thats only so far, but so is the Wii's.
