The one thing about Xbox Live that would make it better.

will be amazing for me and day one buys

I have always said that XBL Silver should allow online pay and Gold should just offer all the other features. But I realize that MS knows that there are millions of drones out there who will fork their money over without questioning whether or not they're getting their money's worth. If the userbase was vocal enough about being fed up with paying for XBL then MS would probably do something about it. Instead they just raise the price another $10 and watch the money pile up.

Of course. Netfilx already requires a subscirption so it should be free to access. Same with a few other services on there. Even PSn has 85% of XBLs features yet it remains free.

The biggest thing XBL needs is playing MP . . . . for free. Never mind accessing my msn, or facebook, the simple ability of playing on online match should be inlcuded in the Silver Membership.

I dont use any other feature on there yet MS charges me for all those non gaming services ( msn, facebook, twiiter, youtube, etc ).All ofthose services i get access toon my computer . . . . . for free. They put free services on XBL& then they use it as a lame excuse to charge you. F Urrod company!!

No doubt people are using their Xboxes as entertainment devices, and right now, those people have to pay $120 a year to fully enjoy it. ($60 for LIVE, and $60 for Netflix) The big thing that needs to change is at least give access to subscription-based services (or, basically, everything that has nothing to do with fragging that guy in Call of Duty) to free memberships. I don't pay $60 for XBox Live. I actually received 2 years for $44 a year before the price changed and I still have tons of FREE 30 trials from people games I bought. NetFlix is only $8 a month for streaming and $16 a month for streaming and DVD mailing. Where did you get $60 from. One thing Microsoft does need to do with XBox Live is making it mandatory to subscribe to XBox Live just to use paying apps like Netflix and Hulu Plus. Why do I need to be a Gold Member to run Netflix if I'm a Netflix subscriber? No other device (3DS, IPad, IPod, PS3, PC, etc,) makes you pay twice to use their paid apps. It's the dumbest thing I've ever seem. Pissed me off that I could use Netflix on one of my XBox 360 because I didn't have a Gold Member account on it. #@$%&* DUMB!!

No PSN is not superior. The fact that it takes me 4 hours to downoad a 2GB game and then another hour to install it on my PS3 is totally ridiculous. PSN still has a LOT of dumb problems. They menu system is crap. I can't stand it. HOME is crap. Sony is losing tons of money on PSN, which is why they offered PS+, so they could recoop some of the money they are losing. I agree that MP Online should be FREE on XBox Live or at least a lot cheaper. Microsoft knows that if they made it FREE though, they would lose millions of Gold Members immediately. They wouldn't be able to justify charge $50 or $60 to members just to access Apps like Netflix, Hulu, ESPN, etc..

This will only change if people don't pay for the service. And there are too many stupid people willing to blindly throw their money at Microsoft, so I don't see this happening in the near future.

yes Xbox live for its 60 dollars a year needs to start offering far more then it does the list that follows is what I believe it should contain at 60 dollars.

1.subscription based content either needs to be accessed free netflix, hulu plus...ect it makes no sense that I have to pay twice to view something that is easily free else where *I just recently purchased a 39.99 sony media player it lets me access all of that free*

2.Servers we need more dedicated servers it should be a standard on xbox live simple as that 60 dollars a year requires this.

3.Game subscription based content such as COD elite needs to have a discount or be included in that price 60 dollars a year one shouldn't have to pay for 2 things, MMO support should include discounts or include ever xbox live gold time for each set of subscription you purchase on that mmo.

4.Microsoft should be trying to acquire far more exclusivity, exclusive content for us users we're paying 60 dollars a year and making them record profits off xbox live.

2.Sony releases hd rereleases of games.

I do like how a lot of the PS2 games they have been releasing are harder to find games which cost more than $10 to get a disc copy.

Premium services on the PC were never required for online play--there were always multiple free options built right into the game. These premium services were soon killed off by free services like Microsoft's Zone.com. After that online fees only remained for MMORPG-type games.

This is not at all like the situation with Xbox Live where if you don't pay you can't use any form of online multiplayer whatsoever.
