eady at Dawn Founder and Chief Technology Officer Andrea Pessino explained today that the massively anticipated PS4 exclusive The Order: 1886 will run with 4x antialiasing, but the developers still haven’t decided on the final resolution for the game:
He also mentioned that running the game at 1080p without antialiasing would require less hardware resources than 1920×800 with the edges-smoothing option enabled:
To be clear, x800 with 4xMSAA needs more bandwidth than x1080 would, so 1080 no MS would be cheaper.
Pessino is definitely right there, as 4x MSAA is definitely a very resource-intensive feature.
In addition to this, he also gave the reason why the game won’t have multiplayer, and it’s a quite simple but compelling explanation:
Correct. No multiplayer, it is a single player, third person actionadventure game. : )
Better to do one thing well than a whole bunch half-assed. : ) We are trying to make a SP experience you will enjoy.
He finally explained that he doesn’t know the details on what trailers and information will be available and when, so may as well stop asking him. His Twitter feed must be imploding.
I honestly don’t know yet the details of what will be made available or when, sorry. I am as curious as you are. : )
According to our information, the embargo on what was showcased at the press tour held two days ago in London (and there will be another in the US on the 10th) will drop on the 18th. so we still have a little less than two weeks to wait to see more of The Order: 1886.
