[QUOTE="burgeg"]So you have no interest in Uncharted on Vita because you have Uncharted on PS3, yet go on to name a bunch of franchises you can play on Nintendo consoles. These double standards when it comes to the 3DS and Vita never cease to amuse me.

its not about doubles standards.Nintendo knows how to specifically design its games for the portables.Nintendo games feel like portable games in contrast to Sonys games which aspire to be similar to a console game experience.Plus Nintendo uses its main devs to make handheld games(e.g. Mario 3d land was made by Mario Galaxy team) but Sony uses some useless and rubbish devs to make its portable games:e.g Uncharted G.A. is not made by Naughty Dog and you get games like Jak:the lost frontier if the main dev doenst make the games.Sony is simply rippping off its customer with the Vita games. The philips Zelda games were rubbish becuase Nintendo didnt make them.
I'm fairly certain Resident Evil Revelations isn't made by the same dev team that's making RE6. Yet he doesn't have a problem playing that. The dev that makes the game means nothing if it's a quality game. Funny how the difference in quality between Mario 3D Land and Mario Galaxy is so huge despite the fact it's made by the same team. Yet the difference in quality between Uncharted GA and Uncharted Drakes Fortune isn't even noticable. Dev team means nothing if it's a quality game. I don't know if Modnation Racers and Littlebigplanet Vita are made by the same dev teams and the PS3 games, but regardless they're better than the PS3 games. As for the whole portable experience crap, it's a load of bull. It's an outdated and just plain wrong argument that 3DS fans use to downplay Vita. Vita has plenty of games that have the "portable experience". And since when was a handheld game playing just like a console game a bad thing? That's what we should all want. We should want to be able to play PS3 quality experiences on a handheld. Also OOT is a console port/remake and he mentioned that. Hardly made for the portable experience is it?
we are talking about first party here and we are comparing the Sonys killer app with Nintendos. There is nothing to suggest, that capcom hasnt designed there games specifically for the 3ds more or less.I dont know how are you judging the difference in quality between Mario 3d land and Mario Galaxy but both games have above 90% on metacritic and are both top quality products.I dont why are you comparing Golden Abyss only with Uncharted 1,you should also compare it with Uncharted 2 and 3.In comparison to them it looks certainly like a step back and not a step forward. In 2008 the comparison would be fair but in 2012 you need to compare it with the more latest versions and the standards that we expect now from the franchise.
Vita has portable experiences but just like the PSP there are handful and very rare at best(locorocco e.g.)But in terms of killer apps and Sony first party on Vita the experince is too similar to the PS3 games and the quality is lower.Zelda OOT is a port and not a new game,Uncharted G.A. is not a port but a new game.It is about the overall philosphy behind the 3DS games, which tells us most of the games are specifically designed for a portable experince in contrast to Vita.OOT is simply an exception in the games library. And the real killer app for the 3ds are Mario 3d land and Mario Kart 7 anyway and both are specifically designed for a distinct portable experience and that is something I cannot say about any Vita killer app.
my poin in essence is:
Nintendo 3DS:Nintendos top quality devs produce top quality games with a different experience to consoles and specifically designed for handhelds
Vita:Sonys bottom quality devs involved and games have lower quality than the console versions and offer a very similar experience to the console games.
