I already preordered a Vita, but not for Uncharted.
Gravity Rush might be the killer app you would want to look out for.

a year after launch and you only have 2 games for it so far? The games you listed are the exact same ones i am interested in (i only own zelda). Not too interested in spending $60 on Mario3DL at this point though. My point there being, you only have 2-3 games now a year after its release and you still have to wait for more games you want? :?2 or 3 games a year? This year alone 3DS has RE: R, Luigi's Mansion 2, Kid Icarus, Kingdom Hearts, Monster Hunter, Bravely Default and Fire Emblem. :?[QUOTE="zarshack"]

Meh.... I have a PS3 and Uncharted 1,2 & 3....
not buying a Vita, no interest in it.... I have a 3DS meaning I have Zelda OoT, Super Mario 3D Land, tomorrow I'll have Resident Evil Revelations.... soon I'll have Luigi's Mansion 2, Paper Mario 3D, Kid Icarus... and so on.
My point is... I have no need of a Vita.

Vita library can't even come close to that.
Wait, you're expecting people to be impressed by those two games? Bravely Default is the successor to 4 Heroes of Light and that game was pretty blah. Intelligent Systems hasn't developed a good Fire Emblem in over half a decade too. Awakening doesn't look like anything special from what I've seen anyways.
It does not matter what we ignore it matters what the public will ignore. And yes out of those games only LBP has any chance of a success if the VITA can pick up in sales.[QUOTE="HarlockJC"]
[QUOTE="minh800"]
Are you guys just going to ignore Escape Plan, Little Deviants, LBP, Sound Shapes, and the like?

How does it not matter? It's the same situation as people who say there are no new IPs coming out. When you show them new IPs, they just turn their head and come up with a ridiculous excuse with why they don't matter.
And just to clear something up, the public RARELY pays attention to what people erroneously call "handheld" games. The best selling games are the ones that are from popular franchises, not the ones that you can play for small chunks. Monster Hunter isn't a "portable" experience. Resident Evil Revelations isn't. Uncharted isn't either. Yet, they're going to sell really well. Why? Because the public doesn't care about what forum users think handhelds should provide.
Actually Revelations is divided into chunks, chapters, made for mobile play. And Brain Age, Nintendogs, Professor Layton all are very successful and go against what you just said (about the pick up and play games on handhelds not being as successful)2 or 3 games a year? This year alone 3DS has RE: R, Luigi's Mansion 2, Kid Icarus, Kingdom Hearts, Monster Hunter, Bravely Default and Fire Emblem. :?[QUOTE="Bigboi500"]

You have no idea when he bought it, if he bought it during the holidays then 2 games would be fine right now. Some people lead far busier lives. Just coz you don't like the line up (that is, if you don't) doesn't make it good/bad, just like nothing on the Vita is good/bad because I say so. I can just say I'm not interested, that's all[QUOTE="minh800"][QUOTE="HarlockJC"] It does not matter what we ignore it matters what the public will ignore. There are 34 chapters in GA meant for shorter play time just like how Revelations is divided into episodes.
I probably mispoke. I didn't mean to say that no "pick-up and play" games are successful, I'm saying that they're successful for a completely different reason. The games you mentioned all had Nintendo's name as the publisher. Brain Age and Nintendogs were also marketed. Not sure how much Layton was marketed in the beginning but I do remember seeing ads for sequel.

I'm more focused on the "Vita library can't even come close to that" because two of the games don't really have anything going for them so I have no idea why he's mentioning them.

I wasnt saying 3DS only gets 2-3 games a year worth owning. But for the person in particular said he only has 2 games 3 when he gets RE:revelations. so hes only wanted 3 games in the first year of the systems life basically, and hes obviously fine with that yet he makes it out like there wont be atleast 2-3 games on the vita he would want in this coming year? Apparantly all you need is a 3DS and playing 2-3 games each year in his case.a year after launch and you only have 2 games for it so far? Vita library not coming close is opinion as only games on 3ds(almost out a year) I'm interested in so far is splinter cell and revelations I will have 3 on vita within 3 mons of launch[QUOTE="bonesawisready5"]Actually Revelations is divided into chunks, chapters, made for mobile play.Slashkice
So is Uncharted. Fact is they're both console-styled games on a handheld system. Not like that'll prevent them from selling, as quality is what ultimately matters in the end.
edit: well there's actually a bunch of different factors aside from quality, but eh, you get the point.
What does quality mean in SW gaming terms?[QUOTE="Asim90"][QUOTE="tomarlyn"]I just hope for their sake they keep it off PSNtomarlyn
Why do you say that?
Putting Vita exclusives on the PS3/4 will make Vita less desireable. Not necessarily being they satisfy different audiences unless I can play ps3/4 portably then I would still get it on vita even if I had it on home consolePlease Log In to post.
