ANd the PS3 is great, I like it so far.

Nothing wrong with the Wii, it's library sucks so far, but that's just me.
360 has too many shooters, and it's RPGs are less appealing than the PS3s.
Dead Rising does look fun, as do Metroid Prime and SSBB, but 3 games do not compare to the games on the PS3.

Because I am talking about the Past. Up until now Sony has been doing a horrible job with everything (especially PR) but the situation IS improving. Burnout 5 and DMC 4 or actually BETTER on the PS3. It might be too little too late but Sony seems to finally be getting its act together

Yours is the most sensible attitude and echoes my own thoughts. I don't think the PS3 deserves to be a failure for the rest of its shelf life but i maintain that so far it has deserved everything it got. Like you i'm waiting it out, i want a BC Ps3 with a decent hard drive and a DS3 for about 400 dollars.

That sounds about right. I have limited shelf space and when I get my PS3 I want to retire the PS2 because I have around 30 games that I will keep. Got to have the rumble and FFXIII as well. I don't want or think the PS3 has failed, I just don't see purchasing one until some milestones are met. Blu-ray is not a selling point for me since I burn my DVD's to my hard drive and Tversity them to my Xbox 360. It's nice to have your whole media collection available without having to switch disks.

• Price - It launched at 599 dollars sharing a high launch price with machines like the Saturn and 3D0. I hear Cows crying all the time about how "it's worth a lot more" but why should anyone give a crap? At the end of the day it is a toy and people are buying it to play games. Who's going to be dumb enough to pay that much for a toy?
• Yet you say "The price has come down significantly in the past year or so"
• Blu Ray Movies - Let's see. A format that is useless unless you have a 1080p TV, and even if you do it isn't much better than a DVD. A terrible selection of movies (OMG Spiderman 3 and Hitch!) and up until recently it was competing with HD-DVD meaning no winner was clear.
• And you say "Blu Ray has won the HD war so if I ever want to watch HD movies I can use my PS3"
• Too Many SKU's - Do I get the 40GB, the 60GB with BC, the 60GB with some BC, The 80GB with some BC or the 20GB? Most gamers have trouble telling the difference what's the average consumer going to think?

• Worthless multiplatform titles - Most of them have been broken, late or both. They've also lacked features in many cases (such as online in Virtua Fighter 5).
• Altough you say "Oblivion, Rainbow six Vegas, Dirt, GRAW 2, Rock Band, Call of Duty 4, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, DIRT are just as good as their 360 counterparts" in your blog

Yeah I am a little insulted about how you talked about the PS3, but what person who owns the console would not be. I have had fun with my PS3, but it is all a matter of opinion. If you do not like the PS3 then I recommend that people do not buy the console. Wanted to point out that the Uncharted comment is BS.

On a side note I am disappointed with the lack of games and delays. Also the rumble not included in the controls. However the different SKUs sounds rather childish. Why care what model is continued or dis-continued?

In all the PS3 deserves to fail why because some people do not like it. I want to continue playing my PS3 I do not want a Xbox 360, PC gaming machine, or Nintendo Wii.

hmm it still seems mildly contradictory to me considering you seem to think it has failed allready saying "The PS3 Deserved to fail" its just that why would you buy a console that you thought had already failed??

I agree on the price, Blu-ray, and the SKU points. Don't agree on the rest.

I think it's great that consumers said 'no' to Sony when they threw at us a ridiculous $600 for a videogame console. At the time, I didn't give a crap about Blu-ray so that was no excuse to have such an expensive console.

But they've been fixing their mistakes and it's good to see. They've only got one SKU out now, the price is affordable, and software is going stronger too which is good to see.

So I agree that they deserved to fail at the start, but I think the PS3 is a great machine with a fantastic future game lineup, and since Sony has corrected many of their mistakes, I want it to be a success in the future.

I just didn't like the way they did the whole "We're gonna make our console expensive, people are gonna buy it anyway cause it's Sony and PS2 owners want its successor" approach.

It disappointed alot of people. I'm guessing they learned their lesson though.
