And you have to "install" PSN demos after you download them.

that "choice" MS gives you is just a thinly veiled illusion, because MS wants you to buy the add ons and then force you to up grade to keep up with everything else just like with windows

Pfft. Since when has Blu-Ray been a next gen requirement? The only multidisc DVD9 game so far is Blue Dragon, and that's only because Mistwalker wanted to put a bunch of FMV in the game.

Anyone who went out and bought a Core 360 and didn't bother getting a hard drive is either a casual or an idiot.

How many people are able to take advantage of 1080p? I'm one of them (50" Samsung 1080p DLP thankyouverymuch) but when you're playing on a screen smaller than say 22" or astandard CRT it doesn't make that much of a difference.

A WiFiWAP costs about as much as those PS3 high def cables anyway, which you NEED to get the 1080p signal.

who cares about add ons and everything else. im talking about a gaming system you can actually play games on. which ps3 has yet to prove. i dont even think they have one go over the million mark yet. im talking about an upgrade in my gaming experience. i really love the ease of how i can guide myself thru xbox live., i love the fact that my games dont lag, if they dont have a dedicated server. i love the fact that game developers dont have a problem making a game for xbox. where not talking about everything but a gaming system. no, where talking about a gaming system, i want to play game vs other people online. so, you see, i can't wait to see what Microsoft is going to do to improve on those lovely gaming experiences that you'll never ever see on the ps3.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma was not a port. Resistance, Motorstorm, Sigma and R6V are all great games, by the way.

IMO this generation will last until the fall of 2010 and both systems will continue to ship after the new consoles come out. All you have to do is look at the PS and PS2. The PS was just discontinued I believe in March of 2006 so it had a run of about 11 years. The PS2 looks like it could have a similar run and if the PS3 and XBOX360 start making their respective companies money, those two will have a nice long run as well.

PS3 has 42 player online lag-free so there dies your argument. R:FOM has sold 2 million and Motorstorm 1 million. The only bid difference betwenn PSN and Live Gold is that there's a fee that coems with Gold.

Now it only takes $350 to play next gen. most people had a network cord before. they are probably using it for the 360. if your lcd can take 1080p in composite great if not 1080i for older models. which the ps3 had problems with even with their own name brand tv. now that prices are lowering 350 + 180(if you want it)is 530,wifi only for those who really need it. after your 500 ps3 is liquidated is back to 600 with no EE. And I agree with kekira.

and this will go on all the time. eventually both will be cheaper to buy and it will come down to what games can it really offer.

games with a 50mill budget better had look good but they still lacked things that if they had a better gpu and memory they would have had..

i wont argue that some of the games did look very good and i will be getting them but it still remains that its GPU is not up to scratch as much as the 360's..

a years lead?? it may have been released ahead of the ps3 but i bet most of the games we have seen so far for the ps3 have had near enough the same amount of dev time..

dev time cant be attributed to a poor and muddy texture..that is down to system limitations....

either way the games will be good....
