True, but when "most" computers is around a billion, that really isn't surprising. This was from 2008.
Now, we still haven't addressed the number of capable gaming machines out there, as your point just glossed over by addressing "most". So, since we have this statement:

I'll one up his statement with BF3. You had better have the most recent hardware if you want to run that thing without issues. In my case, I would have to get a whole new video card. My machine will run everything else on the market, but BF3 requires drivers my card cannot handle. Its the same song and dance. Console games get better and better on the same hardware which lasts for 8-10 years. PC games get better and better but require you to upgrade your box every 2-3 years at least if not have to buy a whole new PC. That's not even touching driver or version compatibility issues. By the 8-10 year time frame is up, you've spent enough money to by 5 consoles at least plus XBL memberships and every accessory known to man. For what? Some higher resolutions on BF3? Big deal lol
