Oh and my numbers come from a Gamespot article, was posted on GS around 2-3 months ago. I believe the title to the article was something about there only being $21 Billion spent on games in the US this year. It's easy to find.

I found it and it says all sales have dropped some but consoles would still bring in the most. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6321799/us-game-sales-will-fall-to-216-billion-in-2011-study?tag=result%3Btitle%3B2

PC gaming is already dead ( lack of exlusives , steep system requirements , piracy ) , forget dominating sales in next decade ... imo . Console gaming is the future :)

[QUOTE="MK-Professor"]

[QUOTE="-ArchAngeL-777-"] PC gaming might have the best version of BF3, but that's it. On the flip side, I love shooters like MAG, Socom, and Killzone which are not on PC at all. You care to expand on which PC exclusive is better in the other genres (other than RTS and RPG)?-ArchAngeL-777-

so you are saying that "PC gaming might have the best version of BF3, but that's it." LOL

PC gaming have the best versions of all games!

also games like MAG, Socom, Killzone are bad for pc standards because play with 30fps, controller, small FOV, and look unbelievable blurry (the way fps game meant to be play is with 60fps, k/m, large FOV etc)

first of all PC have more AAAE, AAE, AE exclusives than console. Also PC exclusive are not only better in RTS and RPG but in all this genres fps, RTS, TBS, RPG, MMO, sim, etc. and of course PC have the best versions of all genres.

There is more to a game than fps. lol Its called gameplay. Socom (especially old school Socom) is completely unique. Same for MAG. No one is doing 256 players outside of an MMO battle like in WOW. Killzone brings its own unique brand of brutal warfare that is unmatched on PC. So you didnt answer my question? Which PC action/adventure game is better than console games like Uncharted 2, God of War, or Heavy Rain? Which PC racing game can top Gran Turismo, Forza, or even Motorstorm or PGR? Which platformer on PC is better than Mario or Little Big Planet? On and on...you wont find one.

Planetside says hi and planetside 2 is gonna rape it :) still no game on consoles that has matched tribes

[QUOTE="MonsieurX"][QUOTE="Tikeio"]This topic is about sales only. And console games outsell PC games 4:1. Fact. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter as long as people keep buying games. PC gaming will never completely "die" unless devs stop making games.Tikeio

Fact? Care to provide some proofs?

What do you want me to do, make a pie chart? :|

The latest PC games, including multiplats, require hardware that most home computers don't have. That's why consoles dominate in sales.

If little Johnny down the street wanted to play Crysis 2, do you think he's going to spend over $800 to build a decent rig to play it, or buy it for his 360/PS3?

It's common sense really. That, and the lack of marketing.

Yeah, some exclusives sell well like Starcraft and The Witcher, etc. But when it comes to multi-plats and high profile exclusives, console games generally sell better.

this prebuilt laptop for $600 at base configuration can get you http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do?storeName=computer_store&category=notebooks&a1=Category&v1=High+performance&series_name=dv6zqe_series&jumpid=in_R329_prodexp/hhoslp/psg/notebooks/High_performance/dv6zqe_series and a base configuration of that can get you this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yluVO4NJGfU&feature=related

Now the desktop counterpart will be even better for the same price :P

Forget PC, the Polystation is where it's at in China - Now with 64 bit action!

Or what about this bad boy?

That's one ugly boy there lulz.

But I think PCs will always be around because the graphics always change and they get better every year.
