Its worth the $50 because of its near endless replay value. Not only thatyou have to spend over 20 hours just to unlock everything. and you really have to play every modeof the SP with every character to get the full experience, and you cant forget about all of the collectables. Its really closer to 80 hours of SP plus you can fight the cpu in vs mode, and there there are the hundreds of hours you can spend playing the multiplayer.

I have clocked (literally) 99999:59+ minutes on my copy of SSBM, I can't see how brawl will be any less fun.

There is no game series out there with a better replayability than the SSB series if you have 3 or more friends to play with.

1. It's called replay value. Something that doesn't exist in Heavenly Sword.

2. How do you know it's an hour anyway?

3. So what if it has friend codes? Don't use them, simple as that.

4. It's not $60, shows what you know.

Oh yeah, it has 40 characters, so if it has a one hour story. Then it looks like it will be a 40 hours singleplayer experience

im pretty sure that ihave bought 4 wii games and they all cost 50 dollars and i have never heard of a 60 dollar wii game if you have point it out.im also sure that ssb and ssbm have some of the best replay value of any game i have ever played which hevenly sword does not. so what is your point its an hour campaign with about 30 charachters so its got a 30 hour campaign with plent of replay value and you obviously don't really know how wii and ds online works. you only need freind codes to find your freinds you can play online as much as you want.

you really only need one friend to play with IMO, you can just play against each other with no items tourney styl e or throw a couple of bots in with items for kicks.

Even if it were true that SSBB single-player was only 1 hour, which it is not, this argument would hold no water because SSBB has a vibrant multiplayer mode while HS has absolutely NOTHING!!!!

this is honestly, honestly the most misinformed Thread Creator I have ever met. he has probably chosen themost played game of last generation, a game which isstill regularlybeing played today (even without online),and by trying to say that it has a short single player, for no gain whatsoeverother than that of flamebaithas utterly shown himself to be the most misgided and ignorant poster on this board.

Smash bros. games have been, without question, the most valuable investment I've made in entertainment in the past 10 years or so. I paid $50 and I got thousands (literally, my melee file has several thousands) of hours of gameplay. That one melee disc I bought back in 2001 has been to more tournaments, friend's houses, and in more people's gamecube then my entire collection of games combined....

This is coming from someone who doesn't even own a Wii right now.

Smash bros is the golden standard for replayability, period. To even compare smash to heavenly sword on the merits of each games' single player duration is ridiculous.

Actually in SSBB singleplayer isa robust sidescrolling type thing, that has cutscenes and character development.

Its called Space Embassy.

No online would be a major disappointment, but that never stopped Melee and it won't stop Brawl.

And haven't you ever heard of random matching?

Sounds like the TC is mad because he can't enjoy the game for what it was designed for because he has no friends, or maybe his parents think they are bad influences and wont let them come over and play.

SORRY, BUT YOU FAIL ON ALL LEVELS TROLL.

1) Do you have a link confirming the length of single player, or are you just pulling that one out of your rear end?

2) Sounds like you've never played a Smash Bros game before, because even IF it was just an hour single player, it has many different characters you can play the game with. Also, virtually endless hours of multiplayer fun... not to mention there will probably be other modes of play, like in Melee.

3) On other online Nintendo games, you don't HAVE to use friend codes to play online... there is usually a system for setting up matches with random players.

4) Since when are Wii games $60?

(Credit goes to Eponique and others for already pointing these out... but I felt the need to say it again).

TC fails so hard it's embarrassing

Same but it was actually 30 Minutes. 10for classic, 10 for Adventure, and 10 for All Star and if you playall of them 25 timesone with every character it is 750 Minutes and there is still the Event Matches, and and Battle Melee with the Wireframes, then Homerun Contest.

Brawl will last me more than 6 years... just like Melee did. I don't think you grasp just how BIG Brawl is going to be. :|
