The standings for 2009...

THIS THREAD IS ABOUT EXCLUSIVES

2009 is pretty much over and nothing is really gonna change much so I don't want to hear that "let's wait till the year is over" BS. The consoles did pretty well for themselves. The PC was also great.

In terms of exclusives, the systems did pretty well. Well, that's not actually completely true. The PS3 and 360 were pretty "lackluster" for the most part. But, you know, they did ok. The big boy consoles just didn't do as well as some people would have you believe. Especially, when compared to some other systems.

Where am I going with this? What is this thread about? Well, I pretty much said it in that last paragraph. More specifically, the last two sentences. Now, I don't feel like going into the numbers game because the spreadsheet is not readily available at the moment, but the PS3 and the 360 but particularly the former did not do as well as some here would have you believe. Throughout 2009, those two consoles have gotten their butts kicked 5 ways to Sunday by the PC.................... and the Wii.

Now, hold on. If we're truly being honest with ourselves, you know and I know that Cows and Lems have NEVER agreed about total library. Furthermore, Cows never talk about total library when discussing the PS3's fabricated "victory" in 2009.

Anyways, the PC won this year. The Wii came in second. After the Wii is the PS3. Then, there is the 360. Fact, not fiction.

Quite frankly, everyone should know this but whatevs.
Hopefully, everyone is now educated. Actually, I might have to school SW on more topics so stay tuned.

The PS3 had a bunch of exclusives this year, they did great!!!!! The 360 didnt have many exclusives but they still get multiplats though.

I will never understand why so many demand we compare exclusives. The PS3 had 11 AAA games this year. The Wii had 2. TC, how can you say the Wii beat the PS3 this year. Hell go down to AA and the PS3 still wins 19 to 14. Even A, the PS3 wins. The 360 yeilds very similar results.

Well according to system wars

1AAA+13AA+11A or 9AA+12A < 4AAA+1AA+1A( DLC)

So apparently if you dont like 1-2 genres you are left with 2-3 games on either 360 or Ps3 which better than a library with most genres to choose from and more games to play and obviously there is a high chance 2,3 of those 10-15 AA's are underrated and are AAA games

But this is system wars and the owners of consoles with the most AAA'a think that anything less than that is average even if that game is AA

Of course if next year either of the 2 get a large number of AAE and only 1-2AAAE then i will bet you they will say a bigger library of AA great games is more important than a library of 3-4amazing AAAE

Sure, but exclusives hold the highest level in terms of differentiating systems such as between the PS3 and XBox 360. Both have been at it at comparing exclusives because they share a vast amount of games with one another. If one is a Wii owner, or PC gamer -- and had to choose between the two systems, that Wii/PC gamer would look at the exclusives.

The Wii's library offering is what sets it apart from other systems, it offers titles that you won't find the other systems. That is what it goes off of, the Wii doesn't offer the experiences found on the PS3/X360 because the Wii is unique. Not everyone enjoys the big titles found on the X360, but rather enjoy that niche offering found on the Wii.

Dragon Age won't be discussed in this thread since this thread is about exclusives. Correct.
