Both of them have emulators that have better performance and are free. I would bet money the switch being based on the nvidia shield will also have a emulator. So if all you want is a coulple of nintendo games why buy a switch???
I know the answer your a sheep and you MUST buy everything with the nintendo brand it seems. That's cool but that is what got nintendo in the spot they are in now. They continue to target sheep and not the core gamer or a blue ocean product looking for casuals. When the switch flops sheep will be upset and hype every switch game.
@no-scope-AK47: ah yes the unintelligent people. Don't worry, we are wolves among sheep. They don't know better no matter how we speak the truth. I pity them.

Thats right, we support Nintendo. Scum who pirate would know nothing about such respect. I will forever support Nintendo because i love them and love what they give me. Haters can hate and whine all they want, but haters get rektd! I laugh at haters as i throw my money at Nintendo, haters will never figure it out. Haters are destined to lose.
@iandizion713: Say what you want because I will never stop hating on things I hate especially if they have no place in our society. I have the right to say what I want and will continue to force people into changing their tastes.
The biggest question with Switch is if it will be getting great games in 2020 and beyond or will end up yet another Nintendo , life in support too early product , great sales or not. Thats the biggest bet for them imho that many seems to bypass because they see a ZELDA or MARIO title and forget everything else.
IF it sell enough it may get more of the smaller JRPGs like Persona, SMT, Bravely Default etc..I reckon..ones that doesn't need beefy graphics. Japanese devs generally tends NOT to go high visual..exception Kojima..lol..main line AAA titles will be out of Switchy's reach. :P
Wii U suffered from terrible launch titles, and a very unclear message - hell, us "experts" in the forums didn't even know there was a new console at the initial unveiling, it looked like just a gamepad accessory.
I remember the advertising for Wii U being an utter disaster because of brand confusion.
How was the WiiU launch lineup worse than switches? It was pretty solid, much better than what Switch is launching with, which is embarrassing. The message is much clearer but the crappy lineup completely ignores the portable aspect of the system.
I have no idea how anyone can say this:
Is better than:
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Skylanders Giants
Transformers Prime
Wipeout 3
Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
FIFA Soccer 13
Tekken Tag Tournament 2
New Super Mario Bros. U
Ninja Gaiden: Razor’s Edge
Nintendo Land
Sing Party
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Warrios Orochi 3 Hyper
Darksiders II
Assassin’s Creed III
ESPN Sports Connection
Just Dance 4
Rabbids Land
Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013
ZombiU
Scribblenauts Unlimited
Game Party Champions
Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition

Not one major 1st party game. New Super Mario U? Ha.
Unfortunately, the other major games were late ports.
@GameboyTroy: This dude is such a loser.
This dude be,
I 100% agree. This will be another Wii U, Nintendo just doesn't get it that we want powerful hardware nowadays, not something that performs worse then a XB1 being released in 2017
They should've at least made it as powerful as an XB1 to get better support. It has a handheld/tablet with a touch screen like the Wii U did.
I agree, the idea of switch is really dumb. I blame nintendo as well as the people who will buy the switch, all of them are just stupid. If they have brains unlike sane people, they would know better not to buy this filthy sorry excuse for a console, handheld crap. I am saddened at how people are getting dumber these days.
I don't know what Nintendo was smokin' when they made this. I don't know how a team of people ended up with this. They should've made normal console with probably those joy-cons and that's it.
Agreed Nintendo fanboys will settle for scraps and hype everything Nintendo does. People like you and me who want better for Nintendo are seen "haters".
Nintendo is putting a limited number of consoles on stores to give people a false sense of popularity. They did the same with the NES classic. Its a toymaker strategy. Dont be fooled
It's a strategy that works. The demand increases as a result of limited availability.
The Switch will get at least the same level of third-party support the 3DS did. Something alot of people are forgetting is that the Switch is pretty much a handheld console as well, and the franchises that thrive on those kinds of systems will eventally arrive.
Sony has given up and walked away from the handheld market, leaving Nintendo with two handheld systems. One is the 3DS, an aging handheld and the Switch, which can be both a handheld and home console.
So, where is Monster Hunter 5 going to arrive? The 3DS seems doubtful given its age, the PS4 is likely out given the series is more of a handheld franchise these days. The Vita is also aging, and is dead outside of Japan. Those three platforms for various reasons likely won't get Monster Hunter 5.
But the Switch? Yeah, that will likely be the home for Monster Hunter 5. Same goes for Yokai Watch 4, and other game franchises that have made a home on the 3DS.
Nintendo has always had crappy support for their home consoles post-SNES, but their handhelds are a different story. The 3DS got a good amount of third-party support, even if most of it was from Japanese developers.
I think the Switch will miss out on AAA titles that are commonly found on other platforms. But I imagine it being a strong platform for Monster Hunter, JRPGs, and other niche third-party games, much like the 3DS was in its prime.
Yeah, this early sales boom are frustrated sheep replacing that failed U as fast as they can. The Bait will likely end up with the same issues, no huge AAA third party titles so only the diehard "N" fans will be buying. :P
The Wii U launched with far more third party support, the Wii name which was hot hot hot at the time, and Nintendo didn't even get in the way of third party by only releasing new super mario bros U at launch.
Which guaranteed success. Yup. Guaranteed...

The Wii name wasn't hot at all at the time. It was failing horribly which is why Nintendo released the Wii U. The sales later in the Wii's life were awful.

Even better, handheld games will no longer be shackled by crap graphics. Carrying around zelda BOTW is an insane thing even as you're doing it. A true open world monster hunter game without loading between areas? Sign me up.
