The two most anticipated RPGs of 2011 - Dragon Age II vs. The Witcher 2

Which title do you prefer over the other?

Personally, I give a slight edge to The Witcher 2, but I'm sure Dragon Age II will be a great game in its own right as well. It seem that CD Projeckt is really ramping up its game, though, and hopefully, the game will much more fun to play than the original was.

the witcher 2 since it's the only rpg. da2 is just a button masher.

Which Witch is which who ? Dragooon who ? Mass Effect 3 baby, that is all. :P

Witcher 2 looks like an advancement in Graphics for RPG's, and an improvement in both storytelling and gameplay from the original.

Dragon Age 2 looks like nothing of the above. I'm sure it will still be a fun game though, but Witcher by a mile, IMHO.

Last Story and XenoBlade.

The Witcher 2 is easily my most anticipated game of this year, so I wouldn't think twice about voting for that. Unlike DA2 (or many other RPGs coming out this year, as far as I can tell), it looks like The Witcher 2 will raise the bar for the genre and push new boundaries in roleplaying choices and storytelling. Not only that, but the production values look top-notch this time around...and hey, what can be better than a much-improved sequel to arguably the best RPG of the generation?Planeforger

From what I've seen of both games so far, TW2 is miles better than DA2.

What about Skyrim, Dark Souls (hopefully it makes it) and Mass Effect 3? Those are easily my picks, with Skyrim leading the pack.

I don't prefer one over the other. I'll get and enjoy both.

I do not anticipate any of them, but out of them, I probably get DA2, so out of those DA2, but I'm more hyped for games like Disgaea 4, Neptunia and Ar Tonelico Qoga

I will get both on my xbox 360, so why would i choose ?

Plus Project Dark, Skyrim etc etc

I am more interested in Skyrim right now. I have yet to play Witcher, so I cannot comment. I also have yet to play Mass Effect, but I imagine that would be better than Dragon age and maybe Witcher (dk about that one). So Dragon age is easily at the bottom of my list.

I'm a bit more pragmatic about this issue - I like both games.:D

I own Witcher EE and DA:O, and I have Witcher 2 and DA 2 on pre-order.

No need for me to choose, I enjoy both equally.

DA2 looks disappointing - it seems to have taken big steps towards being a casual hack-n-slash, Witcher 2's steps have been in the right direction.

I have to say that honor goes to Skyrim and Dark Souls for me.

I'll go with Dragon Age II.

from those 2, I am more excited for Dragon Age. I have Witcher already bought from Steam and DA2 pre-ordered for 360. I know the Witcher will have better RPG elements, however, I have never played the first and I am a huge Bioware fan (Edmonton up in dis) and the original Dragon Age is one of my favourite games this gen.

Dark Souls will lay the hurt on em both, and even on Skyrim.

It's pokemon black and pokemon white, you guys know it.

Right now im more interested in Witcher 2,but im still going to buy Dragon age 2 day one.

More like Guild Wars 2 and Mass Effect 3. I honestly couldn't care less about Dragon Age 2 at this point, and I am very wary of Witcher 2 since I hated the first.

Going with that logic KZ2 is truly better than Crysis Warhead.
