The two most anticipated RPGs of 2011 - Dragon Age II vs. The Witcher 2

I can't believe how people can praise the Witcher so much.

The main thing people hate about DA2 is its combat (even though it is the same as DA:O, which people apparently loved).

I just find it very hypocritical when people bash DA2's combat, is the Witcher's any better ? Hermits also act like the Witcher is the second comming of Jesus just because it is a PC exclusive and made by a largely unknown Polish studio.

Loved Dragon Age on PC, 2nd one hasnt looked good in pics and videos but I trust Bioware to make an amazing game.

The Witcher2 though is goign to be amazing. The first Witcher is arguably the best rpg this gen and 2nd looks even better.

ME3 and the new Elderscrolls also looks great to. I am hoping the new Demon Souls game is awesome but I was very dissapointed with the first one, guess thats what high expectations does sometimes. Also looking foward to Risen2, The Old Republic and DIablo3.

Loved the story, loved the characters, loved the game world, loved the graphics, good atmosphere, great support after the game shipped and enjoyed the music. The combat could be improved but its up there with Dragon Age, ME2, Lost Odyssey, Risen and Fallout New Vegas as my fav rpgs this gen.

DA2's combat is EXACTLY like DA1.You dont HAVE to play it as a button masher!

Characters had lots of depth? Oh please... there were maybe 3 very good characters, every other were below average. Geralt is one of the best characters this gen ? You know next to nothing about him, unless you read the books. Yes, the world is really good. Things in the beginning of the game later changed the game completely ? Oh yea... completely, if you let the Sqoia'teal have the weapons you couldn't do one quest, that is so mind blowing.

To many people overate the importance of the Witcher. I preferred DAO to the Witch it had better characters and a greater amount of things todo. I also preferred the more tactical combat as opposed to 3rd person action RPG mechanics. I am equally hyped for both overall tho.

looking more forward to ME3 than both, the other 2 arent cinematic enough for me

oh and Dark Souls also, which look to be as good if Demon Souls is anything to go by

I don't have a PC capable or running the loading screen for Witcher 2 so I'd have to vote DA2. Personally, I'm most hyped for ME3.

The Witcher 2 looks good and all but I never finished the first... just too boring. (the bad dialogue/character voices don't help).
