Impressions. Which impressed you more?

Why is Killzone 3 in the competition?
More like Rage vs Crysis 2
treedoor
Because so far Killzone 3 looks more impressive than both.

Meh, Crysis 2 looks like it has better gameplay. If it's anything like Crysis, it'll be insanely good. Killzone 3 looks just a step above Killzone 2. The framerate in that Killzone 3 vid looks like trash most of the time, I hope they fix that.[QUOTE="treedoor"]

Corridor shooter? I don't think so.
Much more impressed so far with the environments in Rage and Crysis, and the character models for Rage are incredible. Oh, and Rage runs at 60fps :D

Not bloody likely. RAGE looks much better than KZ3.rage isnt the technical powerhouse that these two are, rage's strength is that it runs at 60 fps and has amazing artist detail on its megatexture landscape the powerhouse game from id is going to be doom 4Why is Killzone 3 in the competition?

Another post-apocalyptic, Fallout 3/Borderlands/Shadow of Chernobyl clone? I don't think so ;)

Not to mention that RAGE has been in development for about as long as those other three COMBINED, and was announced before at least 2 of them.Killzone 3 looks like every other shooter out there (brown/grey, bloom, blur, blood spatter on the screen, EOTech sights on every gun, see MOH and MW2). At least Crysis 2 is somewhat interesting.
You clearly havent ever touchedkz2 if your trying to compare it to mw2 or mohKillzone 3 looks like every other shooter out there (brown/grey, bloom, blur, blood spatter on the screen, EOTech sights on every gun, see MOH and MW2). At least Crysis 2 is somewhat interesting.

The interesting part is we are having this discussion when we still haven't seen the PC version of Crysis 2... It isn't even going to be a fair fight after that...

[QUOTE="Firebird-5"]You clearly havent ever touchedkz2 if your trying to compare it to mw2 or moh seriously, this guy's trying referencing that "current state of gaming" picture or whatever it was hes seriously trying to compare a game that takes place on a futuristic industrial wasteland planet to two modern warfare games that take place in Afghanistan and the USKillzone 3 looks like every other shooter out there (brown/grey, bloom, blur, blood spatter on the screen, EOTech sights on every gun, see MOH and MW2). Well, my mistake on that one, but the point (mostly) stands. RAGE is not a rip-off.[QUOTE="treedoor"][QUOTE="Afrojitsu"]

And just because it's been in development longer doesn't mean I can't be bored of this monotonous post-apocalyptic business.
Well, if that's the console version then I'm going with Crysis 2. The fact that it even has to be questioned is indicative of the quality of the footage.
They're so close, it doesn't really matter either way.

no it doesnt look the same at all, and its obvious that youre basing youre opinion off that picture pretty sure a lot of games out there have guns and blood, is that all youre looking at? cause crysis has that too crysis also has grey, bloom, blur, and those same sights oh yeah, NEW YORK ISNT AS GREY AS CRYSIS 2 MAKES IT SEEMNot to mention that RAGE has been in development for about as long as those other three COMBINED, and was announced before at least 2 of them.[QUOTE="DarkLink77"][QUOTE="treedoor"]

Well, technically I didn't bring up RAGE.
And if you want to talk trailers, there'sthis.
Well, I just think it's unfair to judge the game that way.

Sorry, I was talking to treedoor in that bit of my reply.
And sorry again, it still looks like a blend of Fallout 3 and Borderlands :/

Aliens for a start, the cool ice minigun, that building falling over, etc. All I've seen of killzone is a military industrial setting (you said it yourself; this also happens to be more overused than NYC itself), and shooting people. Oh and a flying thing gets destroyed.
So what if I base my opinion off that image, it's not as if the image is inherently flawed or something.

I wonder why Killzone fanboys try to mark Halo as generic.
Heres another one  Another 360 user trying to bash Kz3 and has clearly never touched the kz serieslmao.
I have a PS2 and I've played Killzone 1. you should have made it more specific. like Killzone 2.

generic? killzone 2 has that same blood/gun combination as killzone 3 and it came out before those games
cod4 did not have that
Yeah i love how Crysis' New York is a dusty, damaged, dark, wartorn battlefield but it still doesn't go for that tinted look. Still showing a variety of colors AT NIGHT IN A WAR.

Bungie is so pathetic, they made their sequel look like a prequel. what have they brought on the game's industry!
AT last it is time.

I don't own an Xbox 360, nor have I played Halo for any great amount of time, but isn't Halo Reach a different story?
