The Wii is a great system.

It needs to be said.

Not all the games are like Bioshock or Gears of War 2, but it has a certain charm that can't be found anywhere else.

The disregard for the Wii is unprecedented.

it has some good game like SMG, zeldaTP, MP3, SSBB, and NMH but there are too few and far between. the PS3/360/PC all have more great games period i don't know how you can argue that. i can probably count the number of great games on wii with my 2 hands but for the PS3, 360 and PC the list goes on and on

Well, we don't really need a thread about this, but i'm agree, the Wii is a great system and i can't wait for some games like SMG2, Muramasa, LKS, NMH2 and the OMG Other M.

It's a good system, but the PS3's and 360's games are alot better.

I spent several hours this weekend playing Wii Sports Resort with a few people. Great fun that is not possible with either PS3 or the 360. It is just a whole different vibe. Of course PS3 and 360 provide all my solo HD action thills i cant get on my Wii, so it balances out.

its a decent system. But imo all of nintendos other systems were totally stellar, so i just feel it doesnt live up to nintendos true potential

When the Wii has the same amount of AAAEs as the PS3 and more AAEs and AEs it really makes you wonder how valid that statement really is.

And yes, as a Wii owner, I can safely say that the Wii is a fantastic system. It seems to me that whenever someone disses the Wii, they give little reason for their hatred.

Its no gamecube, but yes, the Wii definitely is not a bad system. With upcoming stuff like Muramasa and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (and MH3), I can happily say that I own one

No matter how good the system is, I'm not going to pay 250 for hardware from 2001.

I respectfully disagree. A poor selection of games, old hardware, and clunky controls bring it down in my book. In my eyes, it's a big what could have been. But I can see what appeal it would hold for others.tylergamereview

I see statements like this all over here, and I think alot of people must look back at the N64 with WAY too much nostalgia. I dunno, it must've been alot of posters' first console or whatever, but I remember it well, and in general it was pretty bad, especially up against the PSX. Same goes for the Gamecube; a handful of good games, but nothing great. As someone who was actually alive during the NES, IMO, the Wii is Nintendo's best console since the SNES

It's the worst system this gen, but it isn't directly bad at the same time. It is however a kick in the face for gamers like me.

It's a great system, especially considering it's a Nintendo system in it's third year. The first three years for the SNES or NES were definatly a whole lot worse.

2009/2010, for me, is looking far better for the Wii than for the other platforms. But all systems this gen are amazing. It all depends on how much you are into gun porn with badly written cutscenes. Those games are fine once in a while, but I pity the gamer who cannot imagine him- or herself being entertained by games like DeBlob, Excitebots or even Wii Fit.

No denying that there. Friend Codes are very annoying. I don't mind if it's just one code, because that's like giving out your phone number, but one for each game is just impractal....

But yeah, the Wii is very underrated around these parts.

I sold my wii, because i had never used it, the "motion control" was ludicrious, graphics were ugly and the games sucked.

No, i use to enjoy playing the eye toy games for Ps2, they were lots of fun for an hour or so at a time, but they were not proper games. The motion control games are ok but only fun for a while, and the main games that are praised by Sheep are the same milked franchise

Agreed. I love Wii and own 35 games for it now, which is way more than any other system I own. Before people say I must have bought Barbie's Microwave Oven and 'shovelware' like that, I haven't. I'm a traditional 'hardcore' gamer and Wii satisfies my gaming needs just fine. Playing Trauma Centre: New Blood with a friend is so much fun.

Terrible console, terrible concept for the most part. Nintendo has been failing more and more since the SNES and they don't show any sign of doing anything about it ever. Owned a NES, owned a SNES, owned a N64, and they somehow got me to buy a GC. There will never come a day when I buy into the false hype and gimmicky nature of the Wii. Like someone else said 250$ for tech that is worth about 50$ is a monumental scam. Mario and friends lost their charm after I reached maturity and other more interesting concepts for games came into being. Not saying mario games are bad, but all things being equal why bother with mario when there are countless other games that offer different experiences besides the same old tired formulas.

Sure I like it but it is still the worst of the three. When they fix their online so it is like XBL or PSN then you can talk to me. Plus they need a more mature selection of games that are also exclusives.
