Though I have a Wii at home, Nintendo's line-up doesn't appeal to me anymore. My kid gets plenty of use out of the Wii so it's not a total loss.

No, I quite clearly wrote in the OP that people can dislike the Wii for valid reasons, and that the games available on the system are not necessarily to everyones taste. The list of games merely proves that there is a large quantity of games considerred good for people whos tastes suit them. Im not dense enough to actually think I can change people's opinions, like some other posters can. Im just tired of Wii hate threads where the reason is "the Wii is bad because it is, and none of the games appeal to me." If they can express their opinions, then so can I in a thread that celebrates the Wii's library, and looks forward to the things coming.eveileb-ekam

Most of the Wii games look mediocre and worst than PS2/XBOX best games.Maybe it is a good console but not "excellent"...........you will never see a game on the Wii like AC2,Resident Evil 5,U2,Gears of War 2 on PS3/360.

Disaster Day of Crisis look very mediocre and it is just a Disaster for the Wii.

The only game that I am interested in -from your list- is: [Muramasa: The Demon Blade]. I don't care about the other Nintendo franchise such as Mario or Zelda and I don't care if they have high sales. I never liked them even in the first place that much even from the NES days (I had the console in the early 90s maybe 1992).

The other third party games on the Wii well... generally when I look at them I feel like the developer has been forced in integrating the motion device into the gameplay mechanism. Sure we could see some awesome ideas on inventing new way of controlling a game but the real question is, is it fun? For me, no, I tried the Zelda game, Resident Evil (forgot its title) and Wario at my friend's house and they were unique experience but not as fun as playing inFamous or Dragon Age.

some of those games are truly outstanding but i still think wii is garbage and those games could have been done on gamecube rather then wii which is extremely overpriced and motion controller sucks. is it possible to play those games with gamecube controller?

The Wii has quickly moved its way into an excellent choice for me since re-buying it.

i dont think anyone knocks the wiis 1st party games as they are usually superb most people knock it because of the junk 3rd party developers bring to it(kidz sports) though there are a few exceptions

Paper Mario was a terrible game, you spent an hour of just characters talking and hardly any gameplay at all, it was soooo boring.

I wasn't talking about looks. Its obvious no game is ever going to be like AC2/U2/RE5/etc on the Wii.

Thats not exactlywhat the console is about. Its a concept many gamers don't seem to understand. Both Wii fans and gamers in general.

There are some good games on the wii - and unique gameplay experiences. It really doesn't deserve all the hate it gets on this board. The other consoles claim innovation but really most of their ideas were inspired by what was already on the PC.
