I've used the Wii controller, and personally didn't like it very much. The 360 is the most comfortable controller ever imo. The wiimote does get old after a while, becuase sometimes I just want to sit down and play by just pushing buttons.xLegend24Who says you can't sit down while using the Wii controller?

You still have to swing your arms around. If I'm tired, swinging around is the last thing I want to do. Also, I go carzy when I play Wii sports, and therefore don't play it sitting down.
Sorry the Wii isnt a next gen controller, pretty much like the console isnt next gen. Stop with all this we have better gameplay, when there is more prove that you dont. The controls on Wii games are broken. You will find more then 50% faliure rate with the purpose of teh controller, which is the main reason your dropping $250 on the console and $60 oer extra broken controller. Comeback when the games are actually showing the benfits of the controller. Comeback when you actually innovative in a game. Comeback when you can actually create a new game mechanic. Comeback when you can actually do something ingame charcaterwise because of the Wii controller, you cant do anywhere else. 360 is already is already doing this things. BTW mini games dont count. I am talk full on games and tech demos ala Wii Sports dont count either. There isnt any innovation in that either.ps3-nikitahey man do u want to know whats broken ur grammer, stop hating on the wii, just because ur an ignorant fanboy doesn't mean u have to have zero credibility.....wait what am i saying yes it does. You dont deserve an opinion until u try it.
too bad wii has last gen graphics...joeychewWell as long as the games are fun i dont really mind if i want graphics i go play my PC, i mean just cause the graphics are not amazing doesn't mean that are bad, the are fine and i have no regrets purchasing a wii.
It's a shame they haven't even implemented properly in a game yet, like the set sword strokes, you might as well be mashing button if that's the case.
And i cant take it seriously anyway, it looks ridicules when your trying to aim down the barrel of your gun then you notice you have a T.V. remote in your hands.
But it seems like it really works for mini games and puzzle type games.

New controller with old hardware is like mating new tires to old 1982 car, YUCKflamingschmoes2oi man i swear to god for that last 2 weeks all u do is create topics on how the wii sucks so bad, if u are so convinced that it is going to fail why do u feel the need to talk about it so often, go play a wii game maybe u actually like it instead of always constantly winging. You know what i do i dont bag anything unless i have experience on the matter, maybe u should try it sometime.

You don't have to swing that hard. Just a flick of the wrist will do. And if you get that into Wii Sports, that just shows how good the controller can be. There is definite satisfaction playing the Wii. But like I said, if you're tired, a flick of the wrist is enough to register movement.i think the 360 has a next gen control pad, as does the ps3.. but the wii is a generation ahead of its time.braydee1234Dude, as a wise group of young men once said. DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE.
i own a Wii and i personally think the Wii remote is a gimmick... Rather than pushing a button, you move the controller in a certain way. I hate itkrp008I agree. It makes it a pain to play certain games.... I mean, there's a time and a place for motion controls, but almost every game, standing up, it gets old after a while. I like to be able to get into a game, with the HDTV and surround sound. It's just not the same. It IS fun, though. It's a great system for certain casual games.
If you want to site down and play the Wii games, then get games which support the GC controller.Nintendo_ManUsing a GC on a brand new $250 Wii, defeats the purpose if the Wii. Esp since graphics dont matter and gameplay is so radically improved. Otherwise its like admitting that the Wii is just a repacked and rebranded GC. I dont blieve that 100%, but it has a ring of truth. I guess style over substance really does work.
and the wii has next generation graphics!wii4panta
the Playstation controller has remained pretty much unchanged for over a decade because Playstation users prefer it. SONY tried to create a new controller design for the PS3 and their was outrage from the PS fans. That should tell you something.
NavigatorsGhost
But wasn't sony's motto to accept chang3? :o

I think sony's real motto is to make money, but they're failing at that too right now.[QUOTE="braydee1234"]i think the 360 has a next gen control pad, as does the ps3.. but the wii is a generation ahead of its time.ps3-nikitaDude, as a wise group of young men once said. PS3 uses a 10 year old controller, and the 360's controller hasn't changed much either.Ayaaani own a wii and im n lieing, i think it feels a little gimmicy.
And why change what ppl love, i love ps controller and dnt want it 2 change.

New controller with old hardware is like mating new tires to old 1982 car, YUCKflamingschmoes2I know what you mean that car is too new it needs to be 10 - 17 years older then it would be great.

What makes you think you have to stand up for any game? I play wii sports, wii player, zelda, sonic, practically everything sitting comfortably. Having the controller divided in two parts while sitting is so damn comfortable. It is true though, sometimes you do miss a normal pad, but it really depends on the game. You also need time to get used to it.
just five things;
1) I only stand up to play wiisports, and that's also the only game I've played with any physical exertion. All other games I've played sitting down, with just as much ease and functionality as last gen controllers. My wrists never get tired in any other game. Its retarded to punish the wii because it has the ability to make a game like wiisports, an ability the other consoles, and even the pc, dont have.
2) The wiimote is not gimmicky, the games on the wii right now tend to be though, the mini games especially.Â
3) It's true that some games on the wii seem to expose the wiimote as a bit spotty (eg wiisports), losing track of itself and such. The jury is still out on this one though. I've played some games that have perfect controlling, with motion sensing and all. Using the wiimote as a steering wheel in Need for Speed in particular. So, it might be the games.
4) The wiimote is the ultimate console controller. Anything done on the ps3 and 360 can be done better on PCs. PCs may be able to use motion sensing and even hack into the wiimote, but as long as their computer is behind a desk they will never get the full wii experience. Oh, and there's no genre or kind of game that the wii cannot do, so its not like there is any compromise.
5)bringing up graphics in this thread is basically admitting defeat. you're trying to change the subject

more like gently flicking your hands a bit... but whatever... personally I love the Wii-mote and can't wait for the PS2 to die to that the greater functionality possible with the Wii-mote can come to the fore. The fact is that you can do more with a Wii-mote than with a regular controller. SMG literally would be impossible to port directly to the 360/PS3; you would have to take out all the environmental interactions that are in the game. Metroid Prime 3 has more moves than the earlier MP games thanks to the fact that you can map things to gestures when you run out of buttons. The reason few games have made full use of it is that devs are lazy and unused to the controller.[QUOTE="Ayaaan"]PS3 uses a 10 year old controller, and the 360's controller hasn't changed much either.cterry04Yet its the only console that isn't next gen in any other way. It has VC, which is better than live arcade or anything SONY can throw at us. It has the channels system, which is great and has really helped sell it to casuals. It has greater functionality than other controllers and has better graphical capabilities than last gen consoles. I really don't see any problem.
