The Wii isn't even in the same league as the PS3 and 360...

of course they aren't in the same league. the wii targets the casual demographic, while the ps3 & xbox 360 are in the core demographic.
if one of either ps3/xbox 360 didn't exist I would say it would match the wii's sales.
imo when I get games for the wii i feel as if I'm getting a game from last generation with some tacky motion controlling added on.
The ps3 has free online psn, bluray, it's an entertainment system, the xbox 360 as well.

Not everyone cares that much about graphics. I'll agree with you on the online play but not everyone likes online play. what does the ability to play movies and stuff have to do with the Wii as a GAMING console? And what's so good about the 360?

If it costs much less money, and is much easier it's a good thing. Artists can make their vision come to life even on the wii. The metroid prime games, the super mario galaxy games and Epic mickey prove this.

Mario Galaxy don't even have textures ... It just has blobs of random colour. You can call this artistic design, yes. I call it hideous. Epic Yarn is a pretty game, Mario Galaxy just looks pants

And what's your definition of good graphics? Blood splattering everywhere? A game doesn't have to look real to have good graphics, there just has to look good and have a lot of detail into it. Super Mario Galaxy has some of the best graphics around.

well i don't have xbox live, i can't describe.

Wii and NDS has a lot of kids games like disney, Sonic, Ben 10, etc.

but i see a few adult games on wii like No More Heroes 1&2, Dead Space Extraction, Resident Evil 4, Mad World, etc.

Use of colors or lack of blood and gore doesn't make a game kiddy. In fact it makes you more a man or woman to play those games and enjoy them for what they are then playing all those brown/grey fps with blood and gore. The immature people are the ones who call certain games kiddy.

The 360 and to an extent the PS3 are a poor man's gaming PC, a few good exclusives but alot of nothing special..... Watching people try to play a FPS with a controller is funny, they have no clue that a mouse and keyboard is 10 fold better.. Online play, us PC gamers have been doing that for the last 15 years, it is nothing special. A console system is aimed at families, all of this "Hardcore" talk on the 360 and PS3 is a joke.... The PC is hardcore with mature games aimed at the mature mind. The Wii is the perfect compliment to a gaming PC, the best of both worlds... Not to mention that Nintendo 1st party titles are the best of the best year after year.thomasward00

Hello everyone. This is my first post, so go easy on me. I have been reading these forums for quite some years now, and wanted to comment on so many occasions, but have always been too lazy to sign up. However, after reading this latest thread, I couldn't resist any longer. First, let me start off by giving you fellow gamers a brief history of my gaming credentials. I've probably been gaming longer than a lot of you have been alive, not bragging, but just being honest. It always tickles me when some of you say that your first fps was goldeneye. Nothing wrong with that, but it's amusing. I started gaming in the early 80's with the atari 400. I got the Nes in 1985, genesis in 90, n64 in 96, gamecube in 2000, xbox in 2001, 360. wii, and finally a ps3. Those are just the systems i've owned, not to undermine the amount of systems I've played. My point for sharing all of this, is to illustrate that I am a gamer, and I have a deep passion for gaming. Now I used to be the biggest sheep, as I still deem the N64 my favorite gaming console of all time. That system showed Nintendo as a hungry company that also had passion in gaming. Though it used cartridges, it was powerful, while still cutting edge, with mesmerizing titles like majora's mask, turok, banjo kazooie, etc. If u couldn't afford a pc, it would even give you doom, duke nukem, and quake. I loved that system. I absolutely hated the playstation back in those days. Not because it was a bad system, but because I was a nintendo fanboy. Due to my fondness of the n64, of course I had to buy a gamecube, which I also still do truly adore. However, something changed during that generation, as Nintendo lost more third party support, and I couldn't take it anymore. I bought an Xbox. I had become a sheep, lemming, but still vowed to never be a cow, and i still loved ninty the most. Let's get to the topic. Eagerly I storm into this generation with a 360, the wii hadn't been released yet. When it did become available, I lucked out and found one on the first day. Let me put it like this. Only because I still consider Zelda to be my favorite series of all time, is the single reason why I haven't tossed my wii in the thrash, realizing that I have to cut the loss. It's not in the same league as the Hd twins, and that's not trolling, it's the truth. Sheep are delusional! I know this is opinion based, but let's be serious. In a previous reply someone named a bunch of "great" wii games, alot of them that I foolishly purchased. All of the aforementioned titles still do not hold a candle to some of the lesser 3rd party titles that one can find on the 360 or ps3. Oh, and I forgot to mention, that I did become a cow., so now I own all 3 systems. The ps3 is incredible! The 360 is decent, but the Wii is abysmal. I own 20 wii games, and I should only own about 5. Most of the games I will probably not play. That system sucks, and nintendo should be ashamed of themselves for creating it. They have clearly shown that they do not care about the core gamer, the vintage gamer, the polder gamer, or anybody that had a passion for video games. It's extremely underpowered, there are no trophies or achievements, the sound quality is ad, it feels cheap, the games are corny, the motion controls are troublesome. The system is designed for women, children, and people who don't play video games. Yeah, I know it has madworld, mario this and that, metroid, and so on, all of these games I own. Still, those games just don't cut it. They are last generation games. If ninty had made a more powerful system with a few more bells and whistles, I could accept it's shortcomings, but in it's current condition, the wii is a piece of garbage. I've tried to like it, and will continue to buy a few games here and there, but the fact remains that it's a boring gaming machine. The sheep are excited about donkey kong...lol! come on fellas, let's get real. That game should be 20 dollars tops on psn or live. It doesn't necessarily look bad, but at 32 years old, it's not something that I'm going to get excited about. I'm tired of hearing sheep bash hd mature games. Play them, and maybe you'll like them. The immersion and surreal aesthetics capture the gamer. Ninty can't do that with the wii. It's too silly and happy. Even metroid was disappointing. The graphics are awful, killing the experience. Imagine it on a ps3 with move. Incredible. mario a nice game, but uncharted two is too. Enslaved is gorgeous with movie quality presentation. new super mario bros wii is a joke. I'm not paying 50 dollars for a souped up mario bros. I don't even really like the character. I do however like link, so I really hope that they don't ruin zelda. But I stiil can't help but to imagine what it would look like on a real system, such as a pc, ps3, or 360. I hope ninty comes back next generation with power, or I might have to forego my precious zelda. I'll get over it.vintageBliss

I have a 360, ps3 and 2 gaming pc's. The only feature I use that is not gaming on the consoles is the ps3 blu ray player. And I don't watch much blu ray movies either so...meh. The only thing the Wii should be docked for is the craptacular online service. Nintendo just doesn't care about their online service. Heck if they charged $50 an year for an excellent online service I would be more than willing to pay it.

A good gaming PC is the Premier League, an older one th Championship. The 360 and PS are in league One and the Wii is in the North Cheshire under 14's :P
