The Wii's 08 Lineup Could be Considered the Best, The EndAll post(56k/Cab death)

Brawl, Kart, and Spore (and yes people, it IS console exclusive) is honostly all I completely want for the Wii. I'll keep my eye on FFCC, Disaster, No More Heroes, and well-known first-party franchises for '08 as well. But I really think the Wii is the weakest lineup of '08. Just give me Brawl and another Zelda, and I'll be good with those alongside my 360.GamerForca

Probably forgot the fact that the whole idea of being "console exclusive" derives from needing an expensive comp to run the game, like with Bioshock. Otherwise, you're essentially spending 0$ on the computer, because you have one anyway. Like The Sims, pretty much everyone can run Spore.

Again, there is no way we'll be able to tell which 08 lineup is better until 09, however, imo, I think the PS3's lineup is dead even. The vast number of exclusive titles and the much larger userbase will likely give the Wii the software sales advantage based on console, though.

Every system/console misses out.

I'm not praising the Wii in this argument, I'm just trying to say that explaining games the Wii won't receive is pointless, as they all miss out on somethings...

Not to mention SF4's currently listed as "TBA." No platforms have been confirmed.

However, the Wii seems to be missing out on many blockbusters and hasn't generated many of its own. Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii are the only ones that come to mind, and maybe Tales of Symphonia 2 (I'm not sure of the success of the last game, but it'll probably be a hit in Japan.)

And there is a difference between finding a certain gaming title a good title and aknologing that there are people in the world who find it good. I for example can't stand GTA games. For starters, the PC version is always better. The "exceptions" are lousy, late ports. Spore was designed all along for the PC.

The sharing of creatures would probably be more limited.

There's no chance, even with motion sensing, that the precision and comfortability of crafting your creature is that of the mouse. Moving around and just clicking stuff as-well. Look at Sims and RTS's, they don't work in consoles very well.

And last that I can think of ATM but not least, is that although the graphics won't be "all that great", they'll be better.

From screenshots I've seen... the Wii could potentially match those graphics (compare them to SMG), even though they'll probably be off by a little. The Wii controls will be fairly good, not as good as a PC obviously, but not a huge difference. A few other things will be a little more limited, but I'll take a slightly downgraded Wii version so that i can save some room on my PC any day, just like I did with CoD4.

Except having the best game out so far this generation and being more popular than god.

Why did you bother with all those screenshots? The point of screenshots is to show how good a game looks and its progress. Most of those just remind people how awful the Wii's graphics are. They aren't doing your argument any favors.

And your lists were terrible, because you ignored and didn't research what the 360/PS3 are releasing in 08. Its funny because you commented on other people doing this regarding the Wii.

If you are willing to look at all the consoles, it is easy to see that on paper the PS3 has the most favorable lineup of 08 as it currently stands. Why? Because it has just as many impressive new IPs that could turn out to be great (or crap) as either the Wii or the 360. The difference is that the PS3 outnumbers both consoles when it comes to installments from established franchises. And its not just moderately popular franchises like Socom, but some of the biggest in the past decade like MGS and GT.

Will the Wii probably still exceed PS3/360 sales? Most likely, seeing as how it is a totally different product from 360/PS3 and its a lot cheaper. But the system has also proven that it doesn't even need a huge lineup to sell well. Its been true of every Nintendo console post SNES. It has some amazing games, but it also has a ton of crap. You get a great game, then wait a little bit, then you get another great game. It lacks the huge number of middle-of-the-road, decent games, that some players will find hugely entertaining because of personal tastes.
