Guys, download the 635 MB 1080p trailer here.

Stills from the trailer:

I'm guessing most of the stuff shown in the trailer is actually in-game. This looks freaking incredible.

Gerald of Rivendale also looks shit as ****. "The white wolf". He's fucking grey! He has brown eyebrows! He looks like the love child of Mel Gibson and Richard Gere.

It seems pretty clear CD Projeck are no longer interested the in Witcher novels and more interested in making a Solid Snake knock off.

you really try to hard man.

My friend unlike you I am actually a fan of the series and have read books before.

It's quite clearly pandering.

I really hope they fix the combat. The combat in TW2 is terribad. They need to make Geralt more interesting too because he was completely overshadowed by the great supporting cast in TW2.

Basic combat was ok (and was modded to be better).

The boss fights are fairly shitty. Final boss can be beaten in about 20 seconds in dark mode by simply spamming bombs.

the combat in TW2 was fine IMO. don't really know why people complained about it so much.

because it was boring. shield spell, swing, roll, repeat. thats pretty much every encounter in the game.

I'll take these knee jerk response as "i'v never actually read the source materiel".

Nice job copy pasting my opinion as well btw.

Anything can be deduced down to an overly simplstic description. Moot argument.

Objectively, in comparison to other games with in the genre, it has lots of variety in the combat with multiple outcomes including the avoidance of combat altogether.

Looks great! Loved the Witcher 2 and can't wait to play the sequel on my PS4, too bad I have to wait a year though.

So basically, you are criticizing a game for lack of variety, while inadvertently being unwilling to use variety.

Dude ... there was nothing wrong with Witcher 2's combat . And Geralt was best character in entire game along with Roche and Iorveth . Yes , he is not some generic "Super Hero trying to save the world" kind of guy but he is a lot more human than other protagonists .

Gameinformer even gave him award of Best protagonist/character of the year .

I disagree, Geralt is a bit grouchy but that's because of his training to become a Witcher. Those guys basically kill monsters for a living, it will certainly take it's tole on a person after a while. I liked how the various dialogue options in Witcher 2, Geralt really evolves as a character and has a surprising amount of depth to him.

The combat was pretty solid overall though I was hoping the magic system would have been deeper. Loved the challenge that the game provided however, it was definitely not for noobs.

Probably one of my favorite RPGs from last gen, though not as good as Demon's/Dark Souls.

Can anyone who has the read the books explain why Geralt says he loves Yennifer but still acts like a philanderer? Does Yennifer know and not care or something? Or is she into the kinky shit that Geralt does? And I know that witches are ugly so they use magic to transform themselves into super models. Yennifer is one such example. What about Triss? Are her looks natural or magic?

Thanks.

That's the problem. Combat becomes extremely fun when you use potions, oils, throwing knives and traps/bombs. Heck, I defeated Letho both times just by using traps in Dark Mode.

I hated the combat in my first playthrough of The Witcher 2. Started warming up to it when I realized that you're supposed to use your full Witcher arsenal.
