Ps4 will have significant advantages technically from the Xbox, then PC will still have advantages over the PS4 version.

I'm sure NV would make more money licensing their software, than limiting it by hardware, and since the whole console market is AMD, they probably should consider trying to be relevant somehow.

I don't really see why NV's so obsessed with keeping their toys to them selves, I can't imagine "PhysX" really has much pull with the ignorant or fanboy consumers; the fanboys will just find something else to cling to, and the ignorant will just not know what the hell's going on. The more knowledgeable consumers aren't likely to pick up the GPU's for their gimmicks, there are some legitimate advantages and disadvantages to each brand.

The whole discussion is surrounded by this. How much of a possiblity is there that they will port it to OpenCL or DirectCompute?

Yeah, they said it will be 30fps on consoles, which we know will really be more like 20 to 30fps.

But, still, I'm sure there will be very few cutbacks to the core graphical elements. The PC version will surely have some visual advantages and definitely performance advantages, but the real advantage for me is being able to play all the mods that will be made with the toolset they are releasing alongside the game.

Yep. The Witcher 2 went through some real overhaul in order to have it looking semi-decent on the 360. CDPR put effort into their ports, but that doesn't mean they'll be identical.

well as i said on the previous generation developers make these games "better" on pc to make you loudmouth pc fans happy cause youll cry on the internet if they dont but all the while youll never be able to run killzone shadow fall or even killzone 2 and 3 or any other ps3/4 exclusive at a higher spec than ps3 and 4 so sad123Sippi

So what? Those games are pretty mediocre. You'll never be able to play The Witcher 2, Halo 4, Alan Wake, or Total War Shogun 2  on your PS3/PS4, and those are much better games. So sad.

So true, the only reason Sony fanboys take any vested interest in Killzone is because they beleive it to be visually impressive. Take that away and you have Call Of Duty. That can't be said for actual good games like Crysis, Witcher 2 or Shogun 2, It's sad really. :<

It's funny people fall for this. Devs almost always say this. I remember when the Ghostbuster developers claimed all versions were identical and then we find there are significant differences.

Same goes for all the developers claiming that XB1, PS4 and PC versions of next gen games will all look the same. It's PR talk. There will be differences, both between the PS4 and XB1 versions and between console and PC.

It's about having the critical thinking skills to know the kind of things developers will lie about and the kinds of things they normally can be trusted about.

Platform parity is one of those things they fudge on for PR reasons.

Yes, it will be on par with the PC version, like Skyrim was, mods don't exist do they. 1080p @ 60 fps doesn't exist does it? Etc etc.

Love how consolites don't care about graphics, then suddenly everytime they think there's a glimmer of hope for them to at last match PC graphics, they try to claim some sort of victory. You'd think that after getting owned generation after generation they'd learn...
